The only game between the graetest chess players happend just once , however many chess fans of both contries saw that match as big dutty part for their contries . allthow this game ended draw, that match shoed a great fight spirit . hope you enjoy the match .
1. c4 g6 2. d4 Nf6 3. Nc3 d5 4. Nf3 Bg7 5. Qb3
Botvinik choose this aggressive variation , exactly as this game should be .

5... dxc4 6. Qxc4 O-O 7. e4
this is a known variation of Gruenfeld defense , where white controls the center while black will try to attack and and make weakness on whites center control .

7... Bg4 8. Be3 Nfd7
the continuation of this variation calld Smyslov variation , the idea of Fischer's last move 8...Nfd7 is to maneuver hes knight from d7 to b6 and with the help of Nc6 force the white move hes D pawn on d5 and than shock the center with the moves e6 and c5.

9. Be2 Nc6
in the world championship match in 1958 between Botvink and Smyslov the game continued : 9...Nb6.10.Qc5-c6.11.Rd1-Nb8-c6.......

10. Rd1 Nb6 11. Qc5 Qd6 12. h3
maybe 12.0-0 was the best move.

12... Bxf3 13. gxf3
if 13.Bxf3-Qxc5.14.dxc5-Nc4.15.Bc1-Nd5 and black has very good position .

13... Rfd8 14. d5 Ne5 15. Nb5
maybe 15.f4 was better move because if black played 15..Nc4.16.Bxc4-Qxc5.17.Bxc5-Nxc4.18.e5-Nxb2.19.Rd4 , and the black knight in trouble.

15... Qf6 16. f4 Ned7 17. e5
bad move , at the night before this game took place , all the Soviet national team anlysyst that vriaiation with finest Grand masters the forgot one simple move that Fischer find with out thinking one second , he automatically played 17...Qxf4! and won a free pawn .

17... Qxf4
now if 18.Qxc7?!-Qe4.19.0-0-Bxe5 with much better position for black .

18. Bxf4 Nxc5 19. Nxc7 Rac8 20. d6 exd6 21. exd6 Bxb2
that the free pawn that Fischer saw that he can capture with out trouble , brilliant . now Fischer with pawn a head and good position has chances to win this game , however serial good moves by Botvinik and not so presies moves by Fischer helped Botvinik to force draw on the American World champion .

23. Rd5 b6 24. Bf3
24. Bc4 was better move .

24... Ne6 25. Nxe6 fxe6 26. Rd3 Nc5 27. Re3 e5
good move black destryes the white's bishops pare .

28. Bxe5 Bxe5 29. Rxe5 Rxd6 30. Re7 Rd7 31. Rxd7 Nxd7 32. Bg4
bad move , 32.Re1 was much better move and if , 32...Kf7.33.Bd5+in this position this is not a good idea to exchange whites LSB with the knight so the last Botvinik's move is un necessary and bad .

32... Rc7 33. Re1 Kf7 34. Kg2 Nc5 35. Re3 Re7 36. Rf3+ Kg7 37. Rc3 Re4 38. Bd1 Rd4
Fischer's last bad move 38...Rd4? gave Botvinik some hope for get draw , it was much better to move 38....Re1! and if .39.Bc2-Rc1! with big winning chances fror black .

39. Bc2 Kf6 40. Kf3 Kg5 41. Kg3 Ne4+
now blacks winning chances for win all most gone it is hard to see how black will win , 41.a5 was much stronger , now the skill of the former soviet worl champion dets draw easily even vs the great Bobby Fischer .

42. Bxe4 Rxe4 43. Ra3
if black pleys 43...a5 so 44.Rb3-Rb4.45.Rxb4-axb.46.f4+and this endgame is drawn theoretically .

43... Re7 44. Rf3
good move , the white Rook cuts off the moves of the black king to the queen side which for getting help to the black pawns to get for the crown , at least temporally.

44... Rc7
44...Kh6 was much better , the idea was to hied behind the black rook and get to the queen side for example : the plan Kh6-g7-f8-e8-d7 that's what i meant .

45. a4
good move , this move blocks almost totaly black chaces to advanced he's black pawns on the queen side by avoidig 45...b5!, Botvinks team mate the famous great grand master E.Geller sayed that if Fischer moves 45...Kh6 but Fischer moved 45...Rc5?! and the Soviet national team took a deep breath .
