Standard in the context of this highly provocative and aggressive line!

With the White pieces I played this same line against charlie06, who had the White pieces in this game. But Jo plays a different move from what charlie06 chose (10...Bg4)...

I never really understood why this gets played now when White has already declined the offer earlier...

this opening looks like a hurricane has passed on half the game and let the other half untouched... Are these 8 moves really playable, or, as the computer analysis says, black move 5 is supposedly uncorrect?

Jo, there's really a fair bit that could be said about each of the moves in this sequence. You might want to expand it out with stub comments (!?) so that one can comment on each. At any rate, 10...d5 is more usual than the 10...Bg4 charlie06 played against me. Both a_random_guy and x-machine chose the pawn strike towards the centre. In the former I responded with 11.d3 and gradually saw off the dangerous attack that began with 11...Ng4ch. Against x-machine, I essayed the same as played here, 11.c3. After 11...Bg4 I forgot what I was about and played the inferior 12.Qa4ch? instead of my intended 12.d6! Fortunately, Black on that occasion returned the compliment, the plausible 12...Bd7 being nowhere near as troublesome for White as 12...Nd7 would have been. Jo's 12.Qf1 is a whole new departure!

Interesting choice of recapture here... But 16...Qxd7 17.Bg5 would have been vexatious, to say the least. Black must already have been wondering whether he could pick up both a1-rook and h8-knight cheaply...

After the pawn exchange next move, why take with the pawn (weakening pawn structure) when you could take back with the bishop (with a tempo attack on the queen)

I looked at the bishop capture as well, but the "tempo attack" is refuted by 21... d4.

... followed by Bb4 forcing the rooks to move...

I think White misliked the look of 21.Bxc3 d4.

But 22. Bxd4 is possible, isn't it?

Hardly. What does White gain after 22... Qxd4 that compensates for the piece?

as said before, 22 Bb4 preserves tempo and pawns structure.

The Knight on e5 is of course a snare and a delusion... Jo is too good to fall for a cheapo, but Black's move has more to it than that. Centralising in this way can aid the defence.

In such open positions it is always difficult to decide among a lot of possibilities. White's situation is not happy, despite the material advantage: the sided knight is guarding a weak pawn, the rook is trapped, and f1 and f2 have to be guarded. Now, black threats to take away the dsb, which is good because this will lead to a better endgame, but for an endgame is exactly what black doesn't want, being a piece down. I think this move well deserves a big !.

I think this is the best move that white made, black needs to keep all of his pieces active to keep his game going.

This move would have been a good response to 30...Rxa2 as well.

I guess Black assumed White would try to retreat her knight... and Jo, your OTB rating must be unrated, right? You play better than a 1200 player  

I meant to play A5 here, I wonted to some how keep my D pawn.

I think Rxa2 was necessary: only the strenght of the two free pawns can balance some way the piece under.

A good win, Jo - Black never seemed to get much of a game...
