Ít's not inevitable yet, because Black can play 42...Be7.

This is not as good as you might think. Of course, this is still black's best move because it delays whites mating pattern, but that delay will not last long.

It does not matter. It is a, "mate in one", as they say. That is because white can force a mate in one move, with Bxf6#.

There was no mate in 1 after 43. ...Bd6+ followed by 44. ...Be5 when white will have no mating pattern yet.
