Objection cdeburca! For once,(lol) a piece is not hanging! Let's look at the following: Nxf5, Qh5+, Ke6(Ke6 is the only way to move the king, while defending the knight) Re1+ ...and when the king moves, you win the knight back! There! Logic has been returned to this chess game!

I think I can honestly say I have never seen so many pieces left en prise - and not taken! - in a single game before. You NEED to take care where you're placing your pieces if you're to improve. Before making a move, do a quick check - is your opponent threatening to take any of your pieces? If you make the move you're planning, can your opponent simply take it? The first step for a beginner such as yourself to improve is to stop making the big mistakes - losing pieces, falling for back rank, falling for simple forks. Get these out of your system and you'll go up a couple of hundred points almost immediately.

Goldmedal... after looking through a few of the games you've posted, I fear that you may not realise significant improvement until you start "playing up" a few levels. When you play opponents that are unable to punish mistakes or blunders, it just reinforces your own bad behaviours (especially as you may not even recognise them). I'd be more than happy to play a learning game with you (feel free to send me an unrated challenge if you like). As cdeburca mentioned, there are some significant positional and tactical errors made in that game - the good news is they are very simple to fix.
