Annotated by agentsparrow (1628): A less common opening. I tend to mirror the less common openings at first just to keep things balanced as I am still learning. A somewhat early queen move. Continuing to develop as well as thinking about a way to trap the emerged queen. Knight is one move from putting queen in jeopardy. Knights on the edge are typically weak. This one ends up re-moving too much. I was thinking about 7 ...… |

Annotated by diemjay (1739): "Don't make me steamroll you. Steamroller!"
-Doug McKenzie- (from the movie 'Strange Brew')
This game was not a fair contest. I've annotated it in order to show mistakes common to inaccurate and disjointed play. I'm sure some of that poor play was mine.

I thought this was a good move since Black obstructed his c-pawn, and it isn't good to obstruct your c-pawn in a queen-pawn opening. But I usually don't ever play d4 in any… |

Annotated by andy94 (2068): This is the third game between me and ionadowman. In this one I play black and my opponent plays white. g3....I didn't face it many times. So, I try to follow main lines. Very beautiful position! ...I'd tried Ne2. Castles. 13.c4 to create a breaking point. Black pieces seem to be better placed than white's Black wants to increase his power on e file I gain a pawn if… |
