P.S. I see from your page that you have a depiction of a lovely dog - in earlier times I had a German Shepherd who died on spinal cancer. johnclark 15-Dec-12, 20:22	@chicoboy: Thanks for the welcome. Shepherds are great dogs. Sorry to hear that you lost yours. That can be terribly expensive. I think dogs do better in pairs. Anyone in the membership like exploring chess openings?

blitzkov 15-Dec-12, 21:03	John, Oh sorry. The Openings I like is: White: 1.e4 - Kings Pawn 1.d4 - Queens Pawn 1.Nf3 - Reti 1.c4 - English Black: Depends on what White plays. If 1. e4 I usually go 1....c5
johnclark 15-Dec-12, 21:19	That's interesting. I've been exploring the Colle-Zukertort and, very recently, the Barry as an attack for white. I like the Grunfeld Defense for black in response to 1.d4 and the Dragon Sicilian for 1.e4.
