My hypothesis on aliens
As it is my club I have the remit to say what I want

I hypothesize several things on the subject of aliens

There are many types of aliens
Some are in our world and some are in other dimensions
Some are benevolent and some are malevolent
There are rules upstairs that we do not understand but we are asked to choose
AS people I say choose benevolent

Through history you see good and evil come time and time again

If humankind wants to have a future we need to step up to be benevolent

Its not a question of just us its a question of our planet and everything we have on our planet we need to be very careful not to be a destructive species but a species that can live in this universe in harmony

If there is aliens in contact with us there must be a code of laws. So maybe they are waiting to see which ones we go with. I am going with; protect the planet, free energy, feed and educate everyone. Love the neighbor. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

To summarize if Aliens landed on this earth at least I can say despite our history here is what I think about humanity.

I do believe in aliens
However, I think the chances are very low that they will find us or we find them. Lets pretend for just a moment that travel speed was not an issue (although it is) Lets say for the sake of argument that we could snap our fingers and be anywhere in the universe. The sheer number of choices makes it almost impossible to find life. For each mission it would take time to investigate planets and look for life. Just imagine being on the beach and all the sand was white. Now imagine someone telling you that there was one black grain of sand and you will be rich if you find it. We would be able to look for it and getting to it would not be an issue but finding it would be a stroke of luck or take a few million lifetimes.

I believe there are more planets in our universe than grains of sand in the ocean. I also believe because of this there is almost positively life elsewhere. Them find us or us finding them is unlikely but not impossible.

I will also add, this is my opinion based on my limited understanding of our technology who's to say that somewhere in some galaxy it is quite simple to find life elsewhere.

A bit of sand
And we are a bit of sand. Currently our technology now allows us to look at habitable planets. So given that there might be aliens that are 100,000 or a million years ahead of us do you not think that they could scan planets. If our technology is x do you not think their technology could be y. It is an xy thing. I think there must be a universal code of laws.

chris
Of course that is a possibility I am in agreement with that. There are many theories about life on other planets and the rise and fall of civilizations. I am in agreement with them for the most part, however almost nothing is outside the realm of possibility. I am 100 percent sure there is other life in our universe, thats easy. The hard part is finding each other.

science
I chose the subject of hypothesis for a reason. My point is we are behind the curve. So if there is advanced cilvilisations it would be easy for them to find us. They would look at what potential planets could sustain life, if they are 500,00 years or more ahead of us they might be quite nice

in that shared moment of time
Carl Sagan mentioned an interesting point when he was working on the SETI project
to reach out to extraterrestrial beings.

Consider what a short time period in earth's history,
that earth has featured human life.

Now it is not just whether other planets might support life,
and whether intelligent life has emerged on other planets --
========> it is whether intelligent life exists on different planets at the same moment in time.

And that is where the chances, he said, look really small.

I don't think they 'found' us in this vast ocean of space. I think they found this island (planet) long ago and said, "This is a good spot".

Settlers
I love civilization and I take my hat off to Sid Meir a computer games genius. alpha centauri. As per Thumper's comment a good planet to settle.
