thank you all
Though we are exhausted we are bright eyed with anticipation. It now begins. As a American i am very proud and as a member of the Human race i am Humbled. There are Scientists and engineers from around the world that put this together. All working together with one goal in mind. Men and Women from all ethic backgrounds, from many different faiths, creeds and political affiliations. Here we are not white or black, Liberal or Conservative, Christian or atheist, Muslim or Buddhist, straight or gay...we are a team!!. This is America at its best. Whatever happens in the next few hours doesn't matter as much as the cooperative effort that was put in here. We are very confident that in a few hours we (the 8000 people that put this together) will be siting at Gale Crater on the Planet Mars staring up at a 6-kilometer Mountain marveling at what team work can achieve.

I made a point to watch the news...
but I learned more from our club here than the national broadcasting company deigned to report. Thanks, battlefleet, for the facts and news you shared with us, and a HUGE congratulations from South Africa to the whole team. In South Africa, we wouldn't have learned much about this from the media. The only thing the SABC shouted out loud was about one SA man involved with the NASA jet propulsion technology. They wanted to make something political about it, I think. All he had to say, was about the teamwork and new possibilities; he wasn't lured into the politics the SABC wanted to involve him in. I'm talking about Dr Jakob van Zyl. Our national broadcaster is notorious for having the knack to turn just about anything into a political issue, always pro-government.

Please, if anything new and interesting happens, tell us about it, when you have time. I believe you are going to be quite busy for a while, but we'll wait patiently.
