Not a soldier, but
Well, I am in the South African Police; here it is a semi military institution. We are trained in urban terror control, some background in warfare (that is really the responsibility of the Defense Force), and we have military ranks and discipline. At the end of this year I will have a quarter of a century service. Not a soldier, but I also serve and protect.

I for one...
appreciate and respect anyone who is in the military and the law enforcement. It is an extremely difficult job to hold and I thank all of you who are and were in these arenas.

Remembrance day
Remembrance day was held in the US recently. Just to let you know, a lot of us here remembered as well, even if we were not involved in the same wars as the US. I have a lot of buddies in the National Defense Force, and they all agree that we need such a day here as well. In the meantime we remember on the US Remembrance day. A large part of our history is being re-written, so our lost boys are forgotten nowadays by the majority of people, but not everyone.
