Ugh, great topic...

I work in the entertainment industry... An engineer for a television network and sporting
events... Working the U.S. Open next month...

I'm good at it, but have zero interest in it, whatsoever... I've also been a language arts teacher
at the middle school and high school levels... I was really unhappy in that field...

Selling real estate in Florida has been my favorite job to date and I would love to do it again...
I had to sue former employers to get paid, however...

I think about my next maneuver often...

My ideal job would be working on a game farm or zoo... Realistically, sales is the only job I
ever loved... I just need to determine the right fit/circumstances...

Couldn't really see myself off the Tools
Been a Carpenter my whole life. From Building Houses, Decks, Fences, To Concreting & Paving. Branched off into Shopfitting / Building shops. Little jobs like Travel Agents to huge jobs like a 4 mth job we did For 'ARMANI' . The Best thing about it is i get paid to Travel Australia to work. The downside is the Stress involved & the clients that think u can do the impossible time wise. we work alot of 12 hr days. Family don't like it much but the TAX man loves me.

The only thing I'd do Different .. It would definitely be as An Elite Sportsman, but that time has past. So for now I'm just plotting along being sum ones B*tch .. lol

SBT, I dig it... I have been a framer and roofer at various times in my life... These were happy
times... I was tan, strong and worked with men who cussed... I have great stories about
building houses... I once stepped on dozens of rusted nails on a roof that went thru my
shoes... As I screamed in pain and stepped elsewhere, a fresh piece of metal would pierce my
feet... With each step, I would experience a fresh wound... My coworkers were bent over
laughing as I was slumping over in agonizing pain, again and again... It really is a good
memory....

I once shot a pigeon out of the sky with an air compressed nail gun from a rooftop... Feathers
everywhere... Instant legend! I'm sure the boys in Jacksonville still talk about that one... I
don't have fun like that on the F train...

Pmsl !!!!
I'm crying with laughter here, cause its so true. U can have days when Ur on fire, Then u got days that r like Ur's and its a snowballing effect. 1 thing i can take out of the trade is that it has built me as good person. If u don't man up u get walked all ova. The humbling thing is Ur mates ain't afraid to take piss on ya even thou Ur on the ground all wounded

Probably not a good thing to write on here but .. soon as the foreman walked off site everyone grabbed there safety glasses and hardhats, Grabbed there finishing guns & ran to the safest part of the job .. Then it was on .. nails flying everywhere .. Good times alright. looking back at it now we were fricken stupid. lucky for us thou no one ever got shot. We were sh** shots .. lol

No sympathy on a jobsite
I spent almost 20 years operating heavy equipment doing site work, grading & utility work. The last 23 years I have been an estimator getting jobs doing the same type of work. The stress can be tough but I like what I do. A lot of guy's paychecks depend on my success at getting work. Fortunately, I'm good at it but times are tough these days and there are a lot of low-ballers out there bidding work.
Back when I was running a crew we had a guy come in one day complaining a girl gave him a disease he really didn't want. Right away we started singing Wild Thing.
Wild Thing, you make my dik sting! He wasn't happy about that but hey, it's a jobsite. If he expected sympathy he was in the wrong place. To this day when I hear that song I think about that guy.

Lol... That 'Wild Thing' song is awesome... I know that I'll be singing it all day now... With
those lyrics, of course...

One note: I am not a moderator in the traditional sense of the word... I still think it's amusing
that they actually made me one, as I've been expelled from every club I've joined here...

Use caution when inserting cuss words... This is a struggle for me, as I'm a rated R, kinda
guy... There are lots of prudes around who may take offense and report you (or me) as they
seek to shut down any semblance of fun... Just be aware...

Outstanding story, bro.

Mr M moderator..
You are very right..as myself my language is rather on the R side if you could just change the one word to something else i would or even if you put **** that would suffice.
We do not want to get kicked off..yet!!We might get away with it...not sure.

I would like to get paid to Captain (that's right, I'm using it as a verb) chess teams as well...
Without cross referencing and losing this message, I believe Dem Pirates are at 45 members...
If each Pirate would pay me a sum of $2,000 dollars a year for my services, that would be a
total of $90k per year... Not bad for a job performed from the sofa. I'd be doing it from Puerto
Rico, however... Haven't worked out Co- Captain salaries yet.

At that point, I could go on a heavy recruiting campaign and scoop up all those miserable
crabs and Tritons, desperate to flee. I would offer all Smashed Crab & Triton refugees a $500
dollar, first year discount... Once I absorbed all of their disposable income, I'd send 'em back to
their disgraced Captains, a big Pirate tattoo, prominent across their chests.

At $60 bucks a year, GK really is the cheapest entertainment I have.

Well, I guess I better go put on the armor and ready for the onslaught.

Can't buy this Crab
You can't buy this Crab. ARRRR!
If you come back to Florida you might get lucky though...
Ain't no need to stand on the seat,
Florida crabs can jump three feet!
Maybe you can catch a few & use some of that 90 grand getting rid of them.

Chess Team Captain
I will support you Cap'n if you double up as my agent - 10% up to $2000, no make that £2000,
out of the sponsorship deal you get me. If it helps with the marketing I can talk as dumb as
Beckham but with a more northern accent rather than London. Not quite got the looks but I bet I
can beat him at chess.

While I cream the money from the above by playing a few moves in the evening I will happily
work for peanuts as a gardener. The best job I ever had was working in a bakery for my mate -
in work at 4:00 and finished at 10:00 latest. Good craic, fresh (still warm) pork pie for breakfast,
and zero worries. Pity I had to get back on the tread mill.
