Black Stallions --- RANT!
It really is beyond me why people especially 23xx captains feel inclined to swap my challenge
all around grossly in their favor...and then are offended to the point they feel the need to prv
msg me after I decline it with a note.

Since I try to always take the high road.. I responded to his PM. Only to find he sent me a
msg and put me on ignore. WELL SIR, maybe someday you can join this club and see what a
"tool" you are. And at the very least, these fellow captains will be advised of your tactics.
Most captains are not idiots and actually look at the metrics of the challenge (especially after
you go changing them around).

Hello, patzereli,

Thx for the note - But I don't play any player off his 90 day high by 100+ points as it doesn't
give an accurate reflection of skill. Combine that with the fact the same guy had a way higher
AOR than my guy and its no dice. Period. I don't remember his name but I'm sure can look
him up. +/50 to me is in 90day and AOR = realistic match. Your tactics are for captains that
don't look at the details. We do EVERY SINGLE time.

No big deal. Just not willing to do it.

cheers!

I hear ya, B... Maybe it's just one particular fella in this instance. Usually, that team is great
to deal with.

This was the captain. Honestly, I usually see this kinda thing with the elite players. I don't
understand why people get huffy if you decline. People feel insulted. And heck, this was a
match we sent the challenge for. with specific players. One can always swap players, but
don't cry if I come back and decline it.... for what ever reason. Even if it don't make sense.

new captains ask me all the time, what I look for in a match. And since we are on the
subject, the answer is simple. I look for matches my players have good chances of winning.
That doesn't mean i put a 16xx against a 13xx and hope some bloke will accept it. To me, it
means making sure the entire match is balanced and weighted properly.

If players are 100pts off their rank high, then no problem, put them against someone thats
100pts above them and its a fair fight. If a players has a 1500 AOR and we are looking for a
match for a guy that has a 1200 AOR, its not a good match as the 1500 AOR fights a LOT
higher end people.

I'm sure the list can go on and on, but in the end, we play to win. So don't fault me for a
decline.

I'm with ya, bro. I too seek fair matches in which there are equal chances for both sides at
victory... This is where due diligence and investigative homework come into play.

If a team chooses to give us a slight edge, however, I'll take it...

I see the most important thing in evaluating a challenge as not placing my team players at a disadvantage. It's hard enough winning when things are even.
