Just thinkin'...
If you could travel backward in time to view, but not able to intervene, where and when would you go...and why ?

For what it's worth, at the moment, my own top three would be:

3rd: Dallas, 1961: JFK's assasination, to see if there was another shooter

2nd: Prehistoric Wiltshire: To see how the hell they built Stonehenge

1st: 1939-45 Europe and the far east to see my Dad in his younger days. He passed away about a couple of years ago and, although we never discussed the war very much, I know it was a huge thing for him

This is a great new thread, Spud
Being a site work construction guy I would add to Spud's #2:
Easter Island to see how they built & moved those stone heads
Egypt to see how they did the same with the pyramids
There are many more -- Incas, Mayans, Ancient Rome all built amazing things
It would be hard to choose just one

The stipulation "cannot intervene" is what I'm struggling with right now... There was an unfortunate conception that took place 50 years ago, that I would have prevented.

... This is a tough hypothetical question to come up with a top 3... I think I would agree the JFK assassination...

Hmm, request permission to come back at a later date and complete.

Lol....permission granted....I'm having a rethink of my own choices after just reading an article about the moon landings...I'd forgotten how much that stuff fascinated me when I was growing up
