What are those unalienable human rights? Could you spell them out? I've always had the understanding that one person's rights end where anothers begins.

You have a good discussion going with Thumper. I'd suggest you keep that one going rather than this one with me. I'll bow out now.

But, as a courtesy to you, I will explain something. You seem to care that I have no respect for you. If you want my respect, you need to earn it. I have respect for people who deserve it because they are strong enough to stand up for what they believe is right.

They have the strength to say what they believe and why they believe it. When confronted, they do not say the "we have discussed it adinfinitum". They say it again and again because that is what they believe. They do not get tired of telling people what they believe, if they believe they are right.

You do NOT answer direct good questions. You either say that we have already discussed it or you side-step around it. That to me is weak. I do not respect weak.

If you disagree with me, I can accept that. If you dance around and give me a BS answer, I am smart enough to recognize that. I do not respect that. I can respect an honest answer that you believe and have, at least, one good reason for believing. If you have at least one good reason, you cannot lose an argument... you might tie but you can not lose. You do not seem to have any good arguments for my questions.

Simply because you have been through some crap, in the past, does not mean I need to respect you now. We all continually earn our respect through what we do, what we say, and how we act.

Softy ...
... and you sir, are governed by the same standards even though you thrive within your self aggrandizement. Besides, you do not even answer my questions. I'll seek a more worthy competitor; and, I shall withdraw.

I favor Thumpers question: "What are those unalienable human rights? Could you spell them out? I've always had the understanding that one person's rights end where anothers begins."

This is an interesting question. What rights do non-citizens have? And, if they have any... do they infringe on my rights?

It is self evident that non citizens have the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. They are all covered by the Declaration of Human Rights:

www.un.org

If they are in dire need of rapid medical care, for example, it is their right to receive it even if they can't pay for it.

We certainly don't want to end up like Burma, which stripped muslims of citizenship and then persecutes them: www.firstpost.com

You are right in all those things. If they are here, I agree that they do have the right to all that.

The question really is, however, do non-citizens have the right to be in the country illegally.

And, if they are here illegally do I lose my right to my prosperity because I must take care of them when they are ill or injured, or because they can't find work, or I must pay for their kids education?
