thumper 25-Feb-13, 13:13	The facade I rarely comment on fashion or appearances but have decided to share this observation because it's so blatently obvious. I notice that Michelle Obama's handlers have recently changed her hair style. Why would they do this? She's had roughly the same hair style for decades. Why suddenly change it now? I'll tell you why; It's to help hide her face. More specifically, her expressions. She's quick to anger and it readily shows on her face. They've found that her angry scowls, glares and 'hard glances' really don't play well. The focus groups have discovered that her near constant angry expressions are a real put-off to most people. They're recognized as ugly, angry and mean spirited. Whenever anyone shows the slightest hint of disapproval of her husband's comments, policies or actions, her face quickly contorts into an angry mask of rage and hate (which is quite often). How to disguise this? They can't cover the set of her mouth without using a khimar but they've decided they can cover the angry contortions and expressions of her brows and forehead with low-cut bangs. The angry scowl remains however, just now it's hidden behind a new curtain of hair. Just saying.
chaz- 25-Feb-13, 13:35	... and what's wrong with "managing" one's appearance? Or, are you just trying to make another political statement out of something this trivial? On the flip side of this issue, I think Michelle looked pretty good on Oscar night ... some of her dress styles a coupla years ago were not very flattering. People in very public positions need to "manage" their appearance as best they can ... regardless of their political, social, or Hollywood inclinations.
