2007: "in my husbands home country of Kenya..."
While talking about being publicly AIDS tested in her husbands "home country" of Kenya, Michelle Obama says that, well, her husbands home country is Kenya: www.youtube.com This is just getting comical.
I have heard it said the once you start lying, you need to lie to cover up the lies and pretty soon you can't keep straight which lies you have told. Here, in her own words it seems, is a great example of that.
... don't you think we're talking "heritage" here? Or, are you just trying to exhibit anti-Obama humor some more?
chaz
Possibly I misunderstood her words and that is what she meant, although it certainly is NOT what she said. And, would she not have better used the word "Africa" if she meant historically and culturally, deep past roots?

Birthers are delusional Obama haters who twist fact into fantasy. Sorry but if Obama faked his birth as you claim he was aldo clever enough so there will never be proof. He will remain president and you will be mocked in history . Get real...choose your battles. Of course it is heritage...

Yes, the tapestry of lies always has loose threads sticking up. It can't be helped, only managed. They're actually all over the place, especially for manufactured people with manufactured persona's such as Obama. Tug on one and the party faithful will come running to the defense. For some, it's a full time job.
... and there are more worthy issues than this, that's for sure.
chaz
Are you saying that Presidential and administration lying and cover ups are not a problem worthy of discussion?

All Obama has to do is create a "persona" that appeals to a majority of the electorate and none of this matters. Most people don't care about your Obama vendetta and conspiracy theories. He will remain the lessor of evils.
Softy ...
... you know right well what I meant. The "home country" comment for "homeland" or "heritage" is an insignificant issue ... and those with anti-Obama agendas, or Obama-haters, or those who can't look at such things objectively, try to gain mileage out of nothing of substance. Why do you keep playing this game?
chaz
Despite what you may think, my second comment was an "honest" comment on how I may possibly have misunderstood her comments. But, it led to the discussion that what she actually did say, and does lead to the speculation of their probable lies about his birth country. That was her words, not mine. This thread, as I see it, is morphing into one about administration lies and cover ups... started by MO's own words, not mine. And, since you seem to want to deflect away from that, I asked "don't you see that as being a worthy topic?". I am not "playing a game". I am trying to have a serious discussion. Why do YOU keep implying bad motives on my part? Is it to deflect away from a serious discussion about administration lies and cover ups?

I don't care where a President is born; I want the best person for the job. Eventually we will have enough of a majority to repeal this obsolete anti immigrant portion of the constitution restricting who we can elect for President.

I think the term "birther" is really a misnomer. Do I think Obama is hiding something? Absolutely. Do I know exactly what it is? No. But he definitely walks and talks like someone under the thumb of someone else. It could be that he isn't from here, that there is a cover up, and for all we know, ten years from now Obama will be in prison and his scandal will be worse than any president before him. I don't know. But I would bet the entire farm on the fact that Obama is hiding something. I just don't know what it is.

The constitution stipulates that the President must be a natural born US citizen. It's the law.

Maestro is officially someone who is just trying to piss people off. I vote that we collectively ignore him.

The constitution can be changed. It makes no sense that being born in kenya or hawaii matters. I agree Obama has a more private personality but I don't think he is hiding any disqualifying information.
So DM. As one of the ones working so diligently to fabricate and maintain Obama's false 'persona', how do you keep from loosing yourself among the illusions and intertwining deceptions? Or do you? Do you build up a tolerance or just let it take you over and actually live it? I'm just curious.

I see Obama as meaning well and still growing into the job while facing a country more divided than any time since the civil war. He is flawed and too professorial in many ways. Hillary would have avoided some mistakes. I focus on the positive about Obama because his motivations are good, IMO. I realize many don't see it that way.

Like you, I personally don't care where he was born. He is the son of at least one legitimate U.S. citizen and to me THAT makes him a U.S. citizen qualified for the job. But, like Tat, I believe he is hiding something relevant to that. I believe it to be that he used a foreign passport to travel places that a U.S. passport would not allow AND that he used foreign passport or citizenship in order to secure funding (scholarships, loans, grants) for going to school. I also believe there are many unanswered questions regarding his background and rise to power. The Connecticut Social Security number is one. The funds for attending school is another. The ability to rise to the top in politics, without experience or job qualifications, and without highly influential people in his life, plus money is another. The funding is my biggest question right now. What promises has he given in order for him to get the funding necessary for each step in his advancement, along the way?

I think evidence shows he got scholarships to go to school. He wasn't a polarizing figure at Harvard either. He is the first community organizer President. By definition that involves getting funding and assembling coalitions, often unorthodox. And personally he made money off his autobiography. The social security number has been explained because residency in a state is not required and ssns were not given at birth when he was born. Frankly, Obama is lucky. I mentioned long ago that astrologers predicted he would win elections because his opponents were weak and obama had good timing. His opponent for the senate self destructed, Hillary underestimated him, McCain has to deal with bush and was not strong on economic issues and Romney self destructed with the video and sandy. Obama could only have been elected when the demographic shifted and his ability to organize new demographics along with lucky timing made it possible. I understand it looks suspicious and I agree Obama was the face many were looking for but I have lived long enough to see things simple luck can explain.
dm
That all is "possibly" true but you can't really expect anybody to believe that: "astrologers predicted..." "Hillary underestimated..." "Obama is lucky..." "others all self destructed..." explain anything to anybody, can you? I have not heard that he got scholarships. Any proof in that? I heard that he was funded by the Weather Underground or Muslim Brotherhood. Do you have any substantive proof otherwise? How did he travel to Pakistan when U.S. passports were not authorized to go there? Why is he funding the Muslim Brotherhood in Eqypt and other Muslims in Syria, the Middle East and Africa- like Libya? How did he get that SSN number, from whom, and when? These are all unanswered questions and you have not shed any light on them. "Luck" does not explain it.

<<I mentioned long ago that astrologers predicted he would win elections because his opponents were weak and obama had good timing.>> Erm, what? You don't seriously believe that do you?

... astrology is occasionally right, y'know.

yeah chaz, and 50% of the time I can correctly predict the result of a coin toss. It doesn't make me psychic.
... it might all depend upon who believes you.

It really doesn't

Michelle said this on purpose to drive all of you kooks crazy. Her statement is at odds with the information on Barrack Obama's birth certificate.

the "long form" one. The longest form one anyone can be born in Hawaii and get.

Itchy ...
... I'm not pitching astrology, LOL, but what people believe is true, is true for them as we have proved over and over again within these threads. And, since Mother Theresa and I share the same birthday (a true statement), I know all my statements within these threads are true (a very questionable conclusion). Sorry ... I didn't mean to distract so much.
