All this serious talk has me craving an eighth of mushrooms, two cases of cold beer, a bottle of rum, ice, a moped and an air conditioned hotel room in Puerto Rico. Four grand in spending cash too.

As your post shows, it falls on deaf ears Change. I've had my fill of, "Yes but what about...(insert inane drivel here)...", from the libs. For my part I have no desire, intention or inclination to try to 'convince' you of anything, nor do I require your political council or approval.

You make yourself clear with;
"Do posters from the 'right' actually have any solutions that does not include starving half the people in the US or denying health care to those who are not so fortunate (fro any reason). Dog eat dog is much of what I read. No compassion, no viable help, no community spirit."

My solution is to remove the slime from office come Nov. Anything beyond that is quibbling, squabbling, posturing and whining. I will offer this; If the right was as BAD as the libs try to spin their tale of whoa, there would be no libs left to tell it. Histrionics is what you get when libs get excited. Can you say drama queen?

I have to agree with Thumper in this case. We put up solutions after solutions and we show time after time that the Democrats are the ones stalling any constructive action.

For example, how many times have I pointed out that the Democrat controlled Senate has not passed a budget in three years? There are over 30 other bills passed by the House that are tabled in the Senate. How does it escape you that the bottleneck is in the Democrat controlled Senate?

And, yet you ask do we propose any solutions???

The real solution, of course, is to get rid of most of these Democrats, and the President, and let the Republicans have a go at it. If that happens this year, as I suspect it will, the economy will take-off like gang-busters.

This is why DOK is right when he states that I won't argue philosophies; just the facts... Philosophies all lead down the same road; disagreements, accusations, arguments, etc.

I was a World Lit./Philosophy major in college, spending countless hours deconstructing numerous novels, religious texts, passages, short stories into 50 page reactionary essays. We had to apply a wide variety of principles in these papers; Marxist, feminist, etc. I was buried in these topics, for years.

So, I too have little patience for opinion based hyperbole.

Changeling, if that's the best you have, then you should be part of the next 1A camping trip. Or simply apply the best advise I received early in a sales career: KISS---> Keep It Simple Stupid. Don't get in over your head.

Reading your reactionary "essay" immediately tells me that I'm dealing with a man NOT to be taken seriously. I don't agree with Softaire, frequently, yet it's quite obvious he isn't a human rights violator in the waiting.

I once made similar assumptions about conservatives.

However, I'm confused about one statement you made; in concluding your post, you wrote something about being a left wing liberal. In an earlier exchange we had, you told me "If you think I'm a left wing liberal, you don't know me very well.". Then you inserted emotions. Please explain.

I wish I knew how to quit you!

Now THAT'S the MrM I like to laugh at! You have a gift that shouldn't be squandered.

Wait for the "Yes but...." Softie. It'll be along momentarily.

DOK
Obama invites the Mexicans in?

I'll bet you voted for Bush for the eight years he was guarding the border.

Don't make me laugh. Mexican immigration is down under Obama and the number of deportees is up. I know part of it is the economy, but don't tell me that Obama has done worse than GWB, his daddy and Ronzo (the guy who invented amnesty).
