Why is it
That liberals fly into fits of angry hate filled rage, lashing out with wild vitriolic insults when someone disagrees with them? Is it because of righteous indignation that they attack those, who they believe to be their inferiors, have presumed to oppose them? Is it because they're simply immature and emotionally childish, lacking impulse control? Or is it some sort of chemical imbalance that causes them to fly into uncontrolled fits when certain stimuli is triggered?

Could it be that they're subconsciously deathly afraid of the world and seek to control it by trying to control and micromanage everyone around them, thinking this will somehow make them 'safe'?

Interesting this.

Or does ranking and an image of "intellectualism" give one a pass? As a borderline 1600 player ---> am I subject to scolding?

Did I miss that? I'm not reading through every thread right now...

the reason liberals react with anger
is not because people don't agree with then, its because of the lies propagated by the right wing!! Simple as that. No secret there. And genuine consternation as to how seemingly smart people can be so deluded and manipulated. At least this Liberal feels that way. But i exhibit both anger and amusement, not hate filled rage. Thumper; i don't hate you, i think your kinda nice,as are many of the club members. Its not personal. Just bewildering and very sad.

Oh no. Thumper is NOT sad. Is NOT bewildered.

There are many men here who fit that description.

BC,

You found the wrong target.

He is far, far from those adjectives.

I'm not convinced he is even what you proclaim! Are you? If so, how?

Have you noticed the similarity between BC and DM? (I am sure Thumper has).

I would venture a guess that is the reason for this thread. There are similarities between others, especially in the 1A, but these posts are eerily similar. I don't think them related so that can't be it. They are both from the same part of the country, but others are from all over the place, so I don't think that is it.

It may be due to coincidence or it may be due to genetics. I'm guessing it is probably like homosexuality... they don't choose it, they are just born with it?

I hate to think that is what is being taught in school these days, but that could be a good explanation. Or, it very well could be the home life... too much stress, too much pressure to achieve, too much pressure to be like dad?

What really frustrates me with you guys is the selective nature of your targets. There is a GREAT one, ripe for the picking.

Yet, I must hear his qualifying background as he beats on a 75 yr old man.

MrM
You mean Shamash trying to break bad on Thubery? I think you have it backwards. Thubery
owns him. He's so far inside Shamash's head Shamash is spitting milk out his nose. He's trying to regain composure but it's too late, he's already dribbled some on his best dress shirt.

softaire;who is DM?
And by the way i have seen the similarity..nay duplication almost 'clone-ish' similarity of many of you guys on the right. Same ammunition dump, same delusions, same prejudices, and above all 'same fears!! I wonder. Could you all be watching the same news channel or do you drink from the same tainted well!!.I have seen the exact same rhetoric coming from the Becks and Hannity's and limbaugh's of the world. Its very eerie. Nothing personal just very curious. Who is DM?

softaire;;school curriculum these days
i was taught Science,Math,Biology.History etc.. We stayed away from fanaticism though. And avoided demagoguery where ever it was found. And above all we learned the dangers of fear mongering!!.Does this answer your question?

bc
Yes, your posts are getting better... they are much calmer and readable... more civil too!
(Watch out, you may become a conservative yet!)

Hang around the 1A for awhile. DM will come out of hiding when he gets especially angry at something I post. It usually doesn't take long. He has a single-mindedness purpose to disparage and berate conservatives that IS the definition of fanaticism. You have NO idea what that is until you start seeing him post... although you have come close a time or two.

But, you do seem rational and talented. He is not. You'll see.

thanks
i look forward to the day that you forswear foxnews and the tea-party. And free your subjugated mind from the shackles of extremism.,and breath the clean fresh air of pure Americanism. And by all means stay a conservative. Without its other half Liberalism would surely go the same route as the far right. But alas!, most of the true conservatives have gone away in hiding or are dead.

and you mentioned my Dad
he was uneducated. High school diploma, early enlistment in the military. Worked his way up through the ranks to become a Colonel. Commanded a Brigade of troops (3200) in Vietnam. He was wounded 4-times and fought in 6-major infantry battles and was awarded several medals for bravery. His political bent was conservative until he had been home for a while ,and had time to contemplate what had occurred. Though he never told me, i think he regretted having been manipulated into a War that never should have been fought. History has shown this to be true. So i did not inherit his demons.

LOL. It's always funny when libs point the bony finger of accusation at others and yell;
"Free your deludedly subjugated mind from the shackles of extremism you clone-ishly similar automatons. Avoid the demagoguery and dump the delusions, prejudices, and fears that stem from the evil that is conservatism and begin to think in the correct way. The lib way-uh. The progressive way-uh. The true way to enlightenment-uh!" Hear me my brothers-uh! Hear me my sisters-uh! Enlightenment can be yours-uh! Enlightenment can be yours-uh! Enlightenment can be yours-uh! Repent from your evil ways-uh! Repent from your evil ways-uh! Repent from your evil ways-uh!"

It sure puts an exclamation point on the opening post. The irony is rich indeed.

Happy for all
I actually think we are demonstrating that we all have it in us to entreat hard topics without hurting each other.

BC is walking into a room full of big boys. Pretty stern stuff. And it might take some time for both side to figure out how to talk each other down out of our respective trees.

I like being able to make points about facts...not about people.

I have done the other and feels very different.

We have a great thing going here and I appreciate each of your contributions.

Liberals
in general, I believe, are younger and more compulsive.

I have always been conservative but my language has changed and the way I share my thoughts has changed as I get older...I think I stop to reflect more on what I say for that split second when I could just say something I shouldn't...and now I don't.

I suppose I am now growing up...

-In essence, I think what you are saying, regarding conservatives, is that 'Life, imitates Art."

Fox News, Limbaugh, Breitbart ----->Thumper, Softaire, DOK.

If this is what you are saying, I'd say this is wrong and an oversimplification of "things." Folks with a predisposition for Conservatism will be drawn to Fox News as those with Liberal leanings will choose MSNBC.

It's a great disservice, and dishonest, to assume that the aforementioned trio are so intellectually susceptible that they can manipulated so easily.

I'm more inclined to believe that "Art, imitates life."

Younger and more compulsive? Maybe more immature and emotionally driven? We may be honing in on something.
