One very long sentence
Dr. Barbara Bellar, thought she would start a fundraising event with a lighthearted tone. She claimed that she could describe ObamaCare (the ACA) in one sentence -- one very long sentence.

Because Dr. Bellar so accurately portrayed the current national sentiment about the ACA, a video of her speaking her very long sentence went viral. As of 10/7/12, it had received 2,434,958 hits on YouTube.

This is what she said, verbatim. (Bullets were inserted by author.)

We are going to be gifted with a healthcare plan [the ACA]:
•We are forced to purchase, and fined if we don't;
•Which purportedly covers at least 10 million more people
•Without adding a single new doctor; but
•Provides for 16,000 new IRS agents;
•Written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it;
•Passed by a Congress that didn't read it; but
•Exempted themselves from it; and
•Signed by a president who smokes;
•With funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes;
•For which we will be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect;
•By a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare;
•All to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese; and
•Financed by a country that's broke.

Funny, to be sure, but here's the scary part. It is all true!

It is all true & funny but scary.

Those who still think they like and want Obamacare simply (imho) have:

not thought through the consequences of more patients with fewer doctors,
not noticed the rising insurance costs,
not thought about the employees who will lose company paid insurance,
not thought about the full time employees that will be cut back to part time,
not thought about the hiring that will be put off until later,
not seen the number of exemptions given to unions, special friends, "special" companies,
not thought about the rising cost of "medical devices",

not realized that most people will not buy the insurance (paying the penalty) until they actually need the insurance and determine it is then in their best interest to purchase it, thuis effectively negating the idea that everyone being in the pot will bring costs down.
