There is no you

In Obama's World, There Is No You
By Daren Jonescu

>President Obama inadvertently reveals his true post-Marxist colors at every turn, but perhaps nowhere more starkly than in his irresistible impulse to look Americans in the eye and say, "This isn't about you." What is sometimes (correctly) described as his coldness is, more precisely, the lifelong leftist's pathological habit of converting concrete human lives into an abstract, "composite" humanity which, to his corrupted intellect, seems more real than life itself...

"... the dignity of the abstract "everyone" -- an abstraction which he (Obama) holds up as a rebuke to the petty concerns of the flesh and blood human being before him?"<

This is a great line worth pondering.

Sorry but it isn't about you. This is a cultural, John Wayne type meme peculiar to the white male experience. In fact, as most of humanity realizes, it takes a village. You didn't build it. And if you persist you won't keep what you have. You have simply borrowed from others and the future, and you will be held accountable for your stewardship.

DM
I actually look forward to one giant housing project built by the government. They will supply all of our needs as long as we continue to work. It will be like a giant ant colony. No individualism, no way to get ahead, basically its the zombie experience you libs talk about. Lets all just get a microchip and walk around like cyborgs.

This dialogue is typical when dealing with lesser evolved souls. Your intelligence is more evolved than your insight. You are led to believe you are motivated by acquisition when in fact we are judged by how we do our duty. By accepting this false meme, you become exploitable. Thus we have tghe evolving plutocracy we see today. Ultimately, you will evolve to realize that, as it says in the Bhagavad Gita:

"Your right is to work only, but never to its fruits; let not the fruit-of-action be not your motive, nor let your attachment be to be inaction."

I don't expect conservatives to understand. That is why they are conservatives.

Thanks!

If that doesn't make sense because it comes from the wisdom of the East, lets try this from Jesus speaking in the Bible:

"24 No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. 25 "Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you shall eat or what you shall drink, nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; 29 yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O men of little faith? 31 Therefore do not be anxious, saying, `What shall we eat?' or `What shall we drink?' or `What shall we wear?' 32 For the Gentiles seek all these things; and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well. 34 "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day."

Since both the spiritual wisdom of East and West agree on the matter, what can I say? You conservatives have eyes but cannot see, ears but cannot hear. You have sold yourself to mammon, put a market price on your own heads and then complain about the bargain you have made.

How they see it...
"The individual. Let us consider this concept for a moment, what does this mean? The individual is someone who can morally justify selfishness. No more, no less. But selfishness, as we have all been taught from childhood, is immoral. Therefore, to justify selfishness is an immoral act. Therefore, the very basis of individuality is immoral. Those who cling to individualism may consider themselves, conversely, more moral than their less selfish fellows yet the concept of individualism and the anachronistic implications it held and the fallacy that the individual has some divine right over that right of the state is at best selfish and at worst criminally immoral."

Like how they try to paint themselves as morally superior in order to justify their worldview?

It is a spiritual axiom that when the one is seen as other and there appears another, fear arises. Fear, not wisdom, is the root of selfishness. Individualism although ultimately delusion reaps karma and is THE original sin. Only those who do their duty without desire for the fruits of their labor are free from karma. Only the elect can understand this in their own time. Those who know are mocked by the ignorant. To worship individualism, the ego, is to serve a false master. The less evolved soul simply can't understand.

Thumper as we can see you are a classic example of a young soul, noted by a focus on the self as a individual in contrast to other competing individuals. At this stage of spiritual evolution, life is about asserting and maintaining oneself as an individual. What young souls do not recognize is that all perspectives are equally valid based on where the individual is at. Whereas the old soul perceives not only others as brothers and sisters but self and others as part of an integral whole, all unique and yet essential. The young soul still needs to learn that. Dogmatic conservatism with its rigidity, fear of the unfamiliar and projection of ones own views onto others appeals to many of the young souls, whereas the more mature soul is more open to diverse perspectives, ideas, and people.
