You didn't build that.
A record of leadership that is.

Barack Obama, speaking at the Univision forum in Florida said, "You can't change Washington from the inside." Gov. Chris Christie found that attitude weak and reprehensible. Indicative of Obama's lack of leadership;
“If you don’t think you can change Washington from inside the White House, then let’s give you the plane ticket back to Chicago you have earned. I mean that is a scary thing for the President of the United States to say, isn’t it? It shows his arrogance (blame someone, anyone, everyone else for his failures). If he really believes that, if he believes that, then what the hell is he doing asking for another four years?”

You don't understand the beltway culture. The government was designed to be inefficient. The hyper polarization undermines the compromises needed to make it work. In theory states representing less than a third of the population can prevent any actions from becoming law. Parochial interests outweigh national interests. Also gerrymandering ensures polarization will have maximum insularity. The only ones who change this are the voters outside the system and they have been effectively diverted from what it takes. Obama is right.

Wow! What a gob of gobbledegook!

"The government was designed to be inefficient"

Really? The Founders set out to make a system that was inefficient? I don't think so.

I think the Founders set out to design a system that protected the people and the states from a large, intrusive, overbearing and powerful central government. I think they set out to design a system that protected civil rights and freedoms, especially from government.

In doing so they designed a system that made it somewhat difficult & cumbersome to accomplish a lot of things and a means to undo them if found to be against our civil liberties and freedoms.

That means, of course, in order to accomplish an agenda, a leader must work with all parties in order to get agreement that his agenda is the best solution available.

It is BO that doesn't understand the beltway culture... he has never yet worked with all the participants, never yet sought agreement, and never yet compromised.

Heh, heh, heh. You have a better grasp of the situation than 'they' want you to have. They know that too but don't want you to. That's one of the reasons HS grads are so ignorant of government. Our Constitutional Republic was designed and intended to LIMIT GOVERNMENT POWER. Those in power want more and lament the lack of it. The ploys to acquire more are rampant in this 'administration'.

Cumbersome, inefficient, same idea. The system is gamed. Which benefits your side more than mine. Compromise? Ancient history.

"Which benefits your side more than mine."!?

Having a Constitutional Republic designed and intended to limit and hinder government's inherent desire to increase and consolidate power over the people benefits my side more than yours? My God man, I hope so.
