(I have said that a few times also) Can you provide any documentation from other mainstream media that answers the questions that BO should be answering in a press conference? "Does 'marine in congress' refer to a current serving marine or just another retired (republican) marine in congress that hasn't seen service in years and has nothing at all to do with the military machine now?" He is a retired Marine who heads-up (I believe) one of the military/security sub-committees in the House. He is the highest ranking Marine (formerly active Marine) in Congress. I would assume he still has active contacts and briefings although I do not know him and don't know that for sure. Do you have other information or think he is not "current" in his briefings for some reason? btw... I notice that you have adopted the liberal convention of not using capital letters when using or referencing Proper Nouns. Is that the zorro effect or just an anomaly? |

My point was the foreign security doesn't seem to have been taken to task for not providing any (or running away and letting events happen!). Just this mad rush to condemn the current administration for being slow or slackers, or treasonous, or whatever! He is a U.S. Senator and he is the highest ranking former Marine in Congress, who was the Head of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. I think he knows what he is talking about. WHY are you downgrading the possibility of these reports being correct? BO has NOT offered ONE explanation for his erratic behavior and explanations of the attack, nor has he offered any explanations for the downgraded security. And, of course, he has not offered any explanation as to why he promoted that stupid lie about the video. Do you have any explanations I'm not aware of? |

The reports even within these threads give voice to everything that could have been done at the time and within the time-frame was. It appears pretty much bullshit that any 'force' not on the ground could have got there in time to stop any of it. In regard to downgrading of security before the attack, now that is another question and possibly more pertinent. I would question why it was done, on whose 'exact' authority, was the risk considered reasonable by the diplomatic corps, or did they scream and shout and put up an argument for not downgrading security at that particular Embassy? I think the wrong questions are being bandied about in an attempt to discredit the administration. Would you rather have Bush back who when asked why he took your troops (and ours!) into Iraq (five thousand dead Americans!) said "God told me to" (or words to that effect)? |

Oops Does this clear things up? You can kick and scream that it comes from Fox, but CBS is the original source. Fox is simply telling the story about the facts CBS has been withholding. If this had come out after the second debate, or prior to the debate, Obama would have been deemed a double loser in the debates and the election might be very different than it is now; Romney would have separated himself even further. This is another example of how this media tries to manipulate the public, the election and our future. They are complicit in the non-truth here; exactly what they are designed NOT to do.
