Obama Vows More Tax Increases
Here is more of BO's agenda... more taxes, more spending. How long do you think it will be before the entire economy is in ruin? I say that unemployment will be going up, GNP will be going down, Debt will be going up, and the value of the dollar will be going down. WHO wants to take that bet?
**********************************************************************
President Obama this morning pocketed the Republican concessions on tax hikes included in the Fiscal Cliff deal and promised that it was only the beginning of new taxation to be assessed on the American people.

Obama, who appeared in the White House briefing room Tuesday night to hail the deal, made clear to Republicans that he will continue to seek a “balanced” approach to deficit reduction – White House code for “balancing” spending cuts with raising taxes. Meanwhile, spending on Obama-blessed programs will continue to rise, he asserted:

We can’t simply cut our way to prosperity. Cutting spending has to go hand-in-hand with further reforms to our tax code so that the wealthiest corporations and individuals can’t take advantage of loopholes and deductions that aren’t available to most Americans. And we can’t keep cutting things like basic research and new technology and still expect to succeed in a 21st century economy. So we’re going to have to continue to move forward in deficit reduction, but we have to do it in a balanced way, making sure that we are growing even as we get a handle on our spending . . .

Today’s agreement enshrines, I think, a principle into law that will remain in place as long as I am President: The deficit needs to be reduced in a way that’s balanced. Everyone pays their fair share. Everyone does their part. That’s how our economy works best. That’s how we grow.

While the Fiscal Cliff’s automatic deficit reduction included both tax increases and spending cuts, the deal passed by Congress Tuesday night relied almost exclusively on tax increases to pare down the deficit. The massive Fiscal Cliff spending cuts that had been scheduled to take effect at the beginning of the year are still on tap, but have been delayed for two months.

But if Republicans thought that out of fairness and “balance” the focus would now be on trimming spending, Obama’s comments made clear that they are deluding themselves.

Having been rolled by Obama into accepting a massive tax increase, Republicans will again be pressured into embracing a “balanced” approach that cuts spending but also socks the “wealthy” for more revenues.

He won the election...
And unlike bush who promised a "humble" foreign policy   he is doing exactly what he said,
standing up for a balanced approach like Clinton. Austerity is not the solution, balance is. You failed to convince the voters and you lost. Elections have consequences and conservatives want what they want while stealing from the future by refusing to pay their share.
Four more years and then wait to 2020 when demographics really kicks in.
The future for our coalitiom is so bright I gotta wear shades!

$41 spending to $1 in revenue is NOT a balanced approach.

Your stupid policies are designed to destroy the country. You have had four years to see what they do. This is a disaster of the nth degree. You can not possibly say this administration has helped our country.

More of the same, except on steroids, will not help this country. But, it will destroy it. You are a Marxist bent on destroying the U.S.A. from within.

The Germans voted for Hitler and the Nazi's. The Americans voted for the BO and the Democrats. Elections do have consequences. Ours will show up before the end of this administration.

Stupid is as stupid does. We deserve what we get, and we will be getting it.

The GOP was never serious about the cliff. They only use the deficit as a weapon.

Had there been no Bush tax cuts and no unfounded wars and claims deficits didn't matter and that the markets self regulate, the deficit would be small now. The GOP thought they would win
by sabotaging Obama and made no effort to do anything in advance. Losers are not going to dictate terms of surrender to winners and you are not going to shaft those who voted for Obama with your mean spirited cuts.

But we all know there is nothing you won't blame Obama for. Which makes your concerns irrelevant.

Are you starting to get the picture yet Softie? Your concerns are irrelevant. What you want is of no concern. Obama is awesome and 'He won'. They hold all power and you are the looser. They will dictate what happens from now on. You will do as you're told and right now you're to get to the back of the bus, sit down and shut up. They'll get to you when they're good and ready, after they're done with what they're doing.

There is a big difference between rational dissent and paranoid conspiracy theories which erode relevance. Endless blaming of Obama for every thing under the sun is like endlessly crying wolf
Even if there was a valid point raised every so often the endless Obama bashing leads to irrelevance.

With all due respect, what the hell are you talking about?

The democrats raised taxes on everyone making $1-$113,000 a year by 2%. I thought you guys cared about the middle class?

The plan put together by your genius party is adding 4 trillion to the deficit by 2020.

That means that in 4 years, the democrats have added 8 trillion dollars to our deficit.

I'm assuming that we can expect an additional 8 trillion to be added in the next four years. I'm also assuming that we can expect more $ to be invested in technology that doesn't exist yet, more legislature on ridiculous nonsense, and I have no doubt that by the end of the four years the 2nd amendment will be overturned. Dare I also point out the instability in national security that probably exists caused by Benghazi and destroyed trust all over the world? Wasn't it a LACK of intelligence that left us wide open to 9/11? I mean really, should I go on? Do you want to talk about Dodd Frank? Obamacare?

Seriously when are you going to stop blaming and bashing the GOP? It's getting a little ridiculous at this point.

The single greatest thing I heard yesterday was when I found out that Boehner loudly told Reid to go f*** himself outside the Oval Office. There's really nothing else to say.

Boehner tells Reid: "go f*** yourself"
www.politico.com

After Reid accused Boehner of running a dictatorship in the house, Boehner pointed his finger at Reid outside the Oval Office and told him to go F--- himself. Reid replies, "what are you talking about?"

Boehner points his finger again and says, "go f--- yourself."

By the way- much of that article is incorrect and sucks.

But it's the original source of the Boehner/Reid altercation that all outlets are linking back to. I'm assuming its true. I mean Im sure people tell Reid to go f--- himself everyday.

Reid has not allowed any House passed bills to be debated or voted on in the Senate. They are all Dead-on-Arrival.

Reid has not allowed any discussion on any budget proposals in the Senate for four years. There has never been a budget passed and signed by BO in his four years as President.

Reid represents Nevada and Nevada has the highest unemployment in America.

We have (imho) Reid, Pelosi, and BO... the three stooges of American government. They are a three-person triumvirate of destruction.

Phil Mickelson, America's Gerard Depardieu?
Here is what more of the next four years for the U.S. will be like. To see what will be happening you can look to see what is happening now, in California. As I have said (several times and in other threads) businesses, jobs, and the wealthy are leaving California for other states/countries. It only makes sense... read what Phil has to say about it. Tiger has already left.
*********************************************************************
-- French actor Gerard Depardieu protested his country's confiscatory tax rates and hostile rhetoric towards the rich by leaving the country. Will PGA pro Phil Mickelson pull a Depardieu in the U.S.? TheDC's Jessica Stanton reports:

"Professional golfer Phil Mickelson told reporters Sunday that he is considering 'drastic changes' in response to state and federal income tax hikes — including possibly leaving the United States. ... When pressed by reporters about whether those 'drastic changes' could include leaving California or even the United States, the four-time major championship winner didn’t foreclose the possibility.

But he made clear the reason he is considering such drastic options is the massive tax burden he now shoulders. 'But if you add up, if you add up all the federal and you look at the disability and the unemployment and the Social Security and the state, my tax rate’s 62, 63 percent. So I’ve got to make some decisions on what I’m going to do,' said Mickelson."

Of course, Depardieu lost a bit of his appeal when he left France for the decidedly illiberal Putinastan (i.e. Russia). And abandoning your precious American citizenship over taxes, no matter how unsavory, does seem a bit extreme and even unpatriotic.

But leaving California for another state in protest? That sounds more reasonable.
