tat3225 15-Mar-13, 22:02	I think Biden is explaining the difference between a garden variety smack and you know, something bad like trying to strangle or shoot a woman. I'm not really sure. Either way Biden is growing on me in a Stockholm syndrome kind of way simply because he's so unfiltered and entertaining. The other day I saw a video of him telling a wheelchair bound man to stand up so Biden could have a look at him. "Stand up there lemme have a look at cha....oh what am I saying! You stay right there.."
tat3225 15-Mar-13, 22:19	In all seriousness I think he was discussing the violence against women act. Which is controversial for a few reasons. It's sort of above and beyond protections already provided by the law and is the result of heavy pressure from advocacy groups, from what I understand. I think that the issue is actually that the act violates the rights of the batterer in some capacity. The other issue is that the act itself might be overdramatizing the existence of violence against women in the United States to serve special interest groups. But I think the specific nature of it could influence women and countries elsewhere to specifically address violence against women in places where women don't currently have protections under the law.......
