 Unusual Openings - Allgaier Gambit Thought I would now start a thread on the Allgaier Gambit as Sonata (Ardin) played that opening against me. Thankfully Henry survived and I was able to mount a nasty attack on his own king as you will see here:- gameknot.com Another Class C player tried that one out on me and lasted longer but still lost. Here is that game:- gameknot.com Although white's gambit failed in our game and the Kiezeritzky has been found to be a huge improvement it is an interesting opening and black's king has come to grief.
