What are the pros and cons of Windows 8 update? Right now I am using Windows 7. What I understand is Windows 8 is for smart phones and tablets where you use touch sensitive input similar to iphones and ipad. These are inventions of Apple and everbody is imitating and jumping into that touch sensitive band wagon. To be able to fully use the windows 8 on desktop computer will need a touch sensitive monitor which is expensive, although you can still use mouse but it will be awkward to use a mouse input with this windows 8. I am satisfied with windows 7 but in the future will this become obsolete ? What I am thinking is buy a new laptop computer with touch sensitive screen and use windows 8 instead of upgrading from windows 7 to 8 on the destop computer. In that way I can compare 7 & 8 and learn the new windows 8 before swtching completely to 8. With a touch screen monitor, I believe it is good to play a chess program game. Your input and advice on the pros and cons of windows 8 will be highly appreciated.
