Babe. Babe? As far as the Lost in Space reference....I'll bite.....There werea bunch of good things about that sci fi series. The weekly stranger in a strange land conflicts, the chronic water shortage, the ongoing battle between Dr. Duesch Bag and Major Duesch Bag. There was...for the day....fair science and consequences, lots of relevant social conflict, a couple of skirts and a robot. By and by the story line emerged that the most significant threat to the crew of the Jupiter Two was Smith. Selfish. Arrogant. Deceitful. The metaphor there ( the science fiction TV program) was that the most significant threat to human life was....human life. Selfish. Arrogant. Deceitful. Funny that you use that analogy to start a thread. |
