COLLAPSE OF THE ROMNEY CAMPAIGN
Its just about over now. The phony behind the curtain has been exposed as the fraud that he is. A lousy plutocrat that doesn't have a iota of compassion in his soul. Too bad guys!!
|
|
... yet, MR still has a great deal of appeal to a significant segment of voters. But I hafta agree that this latest gaffe will turn off a lot of undecided voters and Independents.
|
|
as always, the faithful on the right will claim it is correct and not a problem. on the lefty they will say it shows that romney is out of touch and incompetent. and neither opinion really matters because they have already made up their minds. it is the undecideds and in swing stats whose opinion matters because of our electoral system. and chaz is correct that in the last several weeks, romney seems to have made every effort to alienate and turn off those voters he needs to attract.

ZL
What exactly is your point? That we should not vote for Romney because he is not as slick a politician as Obama?
|
|
hey bill
nice to hear from you. no. my point is that romney is a total sleezeball who only stands for corporate profits. he does not support the troops. does not believe in the american people. is a flip-flopper at the whim of political tides. only says what people want to hear. is out of touch with regular working people. has no idea what it is like to really have to work for a living. he was for obamacare when it was called romneycare but now it is horrible. he was for woman's right to choose before he was against it. he has millions in offshore accounts in switzerland and the caymans and won't let us see his tax returns. he has alienated england with off the cuff remarks, and called russia our number one enemy. he claims to support a two state solution in israel, except in private where he says it is impossible because the palestinians don't want peace. he wants to spend even more on our bloated military even when the pentagon says it does not need it. other than that, i do not trust him. did i miss anything?
|
|
actually
my real point is that it does not matter what i think. i live in washington state and romney does not have snowball's chance in heck here. my point is that only the undecideds in swing states matter politically at this point in the campaign.

The difference is..
that if a Democrat candidate was so out of touch and evil, we Liberals would not, i repeat not vote for him. I wanted Hilary not Obama. If not for Palin i would have voted for McCain. Conservatives today cannot make such a decision. They will vote for romney even though he is completely unfit for office. No matter what he says, does and lies about FOXNEWS will 'TELL' them what to think, who to vote for,and what the facts are.And they will buy it all without question. They are 'good' zombies.

I 'KNOW' I HAVE YOU RIGHTIES FIGURED OUT
And what find is a large group of people that either have no brains or just can't bring themselves to believe in the truth anymore. And have to depend on demagogues and talking heads to form an opinion. Yes i have you guys figured out. And I'm glad you all have moved so far to the right!! Because now you will lose the House of Representatives as well as the Presidency. Hypocrisy has its costs.

stale words, fresh impact
hard to say which is more surprising (and illuminating): the short memory of U.S. campaign reporters, or the callous hearts of Republican Party members; however, earlier this year, way back when Herman Cain (remember him?) and Newt Gingrich (remember him?) and Rick Santorum (remember that one?) were still in the primaries race to win Republican votes for the Republican nomination, way back then, when primary candidate Mitt Romney made his 47% remark to Republicans, whether it was at this Florida fundraiser or at another Southern venue -- it Was reported then -- but either Now journalists have forgotten its previous report, Or, Then it just didn't stand out at all as something that a Republican candidate among Republican candidates in a primary race might say -- only now that Mitt Romney is officially a candidate for National office, for the Oval Office, and not just a candidate for the Republican Party to clothe with its exclusionary platform -- only now have people now taken notice of what actually came out of his mouth and into the public forum a long time ago.

There is no trick to figure out how you are better than somebody else.... the real trick is to figure out how your political opponent sees himself relative to you... then use that as a starting point!

I NO LONGER HAVE THE TIME
or the inclination to 'discuss' things with righties. This was forced on me because of the foxnews propaganda machine and its influence on fellow club members. I could find no middle ground in their fanaticism. This is vividly evident in the Senate today when a 'bi-partisan' bill (written mostly by conservatives) was filibustered by the GOP. Five conservatives voted for it and 40 Conservatives voted 'no' .maddowblog.msnbc.com. It was filibustered because it would help President Obama(not to mention all the Vets). This has been going on since Obama became President. This and other un-American activities has convinced me that there is no arguing with conservatives, there is no reasoning with them, there is no debating with them. As i said before, and i have tried to understand its roots, there Fanaticism is in all likely hood caused by a fungal infection like this one;en.wikipedia.org. I hope this is the cause!!! because maybe it can be cured.
