The end of the World ...
... appears not to have occurred. Did we do something inappropriate to deserve this reprieve?

I warned you all years ago, I told you it would happen.

(just in case it ends before the day is out).

I never really took it seriously.

(just in case it doesn't happen).

Some People Thought The World Ended..
when the Anointed One was re-elected, but not I. I'm too much fun watching and waiting. Ha, ha.

Mr I
... why do you say "the Anointed One"? Does showing such disrespect make your statement more worthy? Or, is it just for the sake of humor?

chaz
would you prefer Barry Soetoro?

How about Fearless Leader?

I know....General Secretary Obama.

tat ...
... I referred to Bush as president, and I refer to Obama as president. My question was whether this was disrespect or humor. From your comment, I'm unsure about your point either. You don't have to agree with someone to be respectful ... or do you not believe this to be true?

thay say 'annointed one,' because it downplays and trivializes the fact that he was elected by the american people. you see, their candidates get elected in fair elections, while democrats get 'annointed.'

by doing this, they can pretend that americans did not choose president obama. it is just mind games they play with themselves.

These righties were led to believe they were the majority, and their agenda was destined to succeed. They spend their lives listening to right wing media telling them what to think and how right they are (pun intended). They will never acknowledge the legitimacy of anyone else to govern even though they are increasingly the minority.

what
"Annointed One" refers to his cult like following despite what he says or does. It's as though he has been spiritually selected and can do no wrong.

Sorry, I actually thought republicans are the majority. Doesn't the GOP have a 17 seat majority in the House? Is 17 correct? I can't remember......

Is it too early to talk about the 2014 election map?

< "Annointed One" refers to his cult like following despite what he says or does. It's as though he has been spiritually selected and can do no wrong.>

see what i mean? as though the ledt has no concerns or complaints about obama. we have many. as though he did not win in an electoral landslide.

it is so easy to make up names... so much easier than admitting that obama was elected by a majority of voting americans. just a mind game to avoid facing reality.

tat ...
... what name do we give to the Tea Party followers or the zombie-like legislators of Grover Norquist? I guess namecalling is in vogue for people you hold in low respect. And, here I thought it was humor.

regarding majority - 'it depends' is the correct answer.

House Membership:
435 Members
241 Republicans
191 Democrats
3 Vacancies

Senate Membership:
100 Senators
50 Democrats
47 Republicans
2 Independents
1 Vacancies

Executive:
Democrat

the people:
hard to say. split pretty evenly with, at this point, possibly a slight majority democrat.
