Cheney...
From Meet the Press yesterday:

The U.S. invasion “was the right thing to do, and if we had to do it again, we would do exactly the same
thing,” he said.

So, I wonder what the justification would have been for the war? No WMD, on connection to 911. Do you
think the Bush crime family could have convinced anyone to go to war to Iraq because "the world would
be better without Saddam"?

“No doubt, we did not anticipate that the insurgency would last this long,” Cheney said. The United States
must stay the course, however, because while the situation is “difficult,” it is significantly better, he said.

This is a complete lie. More Iraqis were killed in August than since the war began. Also, I see we are
back to staying the course rather than the republican talking point a few weeks ago of "adaptability".
Staying the course means that this war will go on till 2009 and be a problem for the next president.

Should the United States pull out of Iraq, Cheney said, the governments of Iraq and Pakistan, which he
said had staked their futures on the U.S. commitment, would conclude that “the United States hasn’t got
the stomach for the fight. Bin Laden’s right, al-Qaida’s right, the United States has lost its will and will not
complete the mission.”

Al-Qaida does not want us to pull out of Iraq. If we did that, we might actually hun Bin Laden down and
Iraq is a great recruiting tool.

Is there any reason to believe anything Cheney or other members of the Bush crime family say?

KOP....
..Please don't be so cynical.

I'd like to put in a word of thanks from the shareholders of halliburton, big oil and the power elite. Mr
Cheney, Mr Rove and that other funnymouthpiece fellow have done a fine job of keeping the wool over the
eyes of the populace and adding shareholder value.

And to paraphrase yahoo serious, if you cant trust the governments of this world who can you trust?

no. there is no reason to believe anything the bush clan says, nor for that matter most anyone else.

mike mcgavick is a repub running for senate from the fine state of washington. he disclosed recently that he was cited for a dui (driving under the influence of alcohol). he was lauded for being honest...until it became clear that his disclosure was less than fully candid...he actually raced through a steady red, not just missed a yellow as he stated. oh, he also conveniently forgot that he was not just cited, but was actually arrested.

you would think that getting arrested would not be something that would slip one's mind, regardless how drunk you were! he is now being pilloried.

i like that word, pilloried. do you know the difference between a pillory and a stock? oh...wait...does this belong in the random comment thread?
