he/she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but surely if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time nothing could /would happen to you. Wouldn't you have to be in the wrong place at the right time for something bad to happen?

or maybe the right place at the wrong time? or even the right place at the right time...?

i'm confuddled...

naw, I vote for
"wrong place at the wrong time", if it's a bad outcome you're looking at. You shouldn't have been there (wrong place) and you shouldn't have been there then (wrong time).

or
maybe it is the "wrong place OR the wrong time." either one of them could be enough by itself. for example, hanging out in the central african republic might be a case of wrong place. the moment of one's death is definitely the wrong time, regardless of the location.

The answer surely.....
....is that if one feels something bad is about to happen one should leave and come back 30 secs later and stand a foot or so to the right or left.......ahem.....

That only works
if a grand piano is about to break free of its rope and crash on your head. The real solution is to realize space and time are merely illusions sold to us by big business to get us to spend our time earning money and then go buy their stuff.

pawn surely if it was a grand piano standing a foot either way would not make a difference except perhaps what key it played when it hit you!!
