Midterm Elections
It's still too early to tell, but it looks like a Blue November this year.

....bush's policies and his war suck!

Are they looking to impeach Bush?

hmmm
although he richly deserves it for his blatent dishonesty, incompetence, and badness, i hope not for two reasons.

1) there are other more important issues to deal with (like getting us out of iraq in a coherent way, bring the budget back into order, restoring our constitution, restoring our standing abroad, and undoing the years of disregard for our environment).

2) it would reflect as badly on the dem majority as the republican's attempt to impeach clinton did on the republicans.

the thing to remember about this election is that the Dem's won, not because they had the best message,
but because the Repubicans suck. I hope it sends a message to the Democrats the the american people are
tired of politics the way it has been, the last few years especially. Of course I expect the same idiotic BS
from the Dem's - sad . . . At least we can now have gridlock. I want nothing being passed, rather than
Republicans and Democrats actually making laws in this country.

Investingation will abound, and they should. This last group was one of the most corrupt bunch that I can
remember in my relatively short life. Bush should be impeached, but it would be an exercise in futility and
therefore, for practical reasons probably should not be explored. Impeachments are as political an anything
else in Washington. Take Clinton for example - he lied under oath! - no ifs, ands, or buts - open and shut
case - but could be convicted when he was impeached? Nope. In fact there are still many, many, many
fools today that thinks he's a great guy.

Crazy.

jdh...
<<<In fact there are still many, many, many

yes, and there are many more fools who think bush is a great guy... i know who i'd rather have a pint with... i don't wank to kick clinton in the throat...

so the dems have congress... will they get the senate too?

i hope so, and i also hope there are invsetigations, especially into 9/11, though that's probably just wishful thinking...

you Europeans love Clinton without even knowing what a corrupt evil SOB he is too. I will not threaten
violence against either Clinton or Bush and I wish to kick niether in the throat. What I would like is justice
to be done and corruption to end - unreaslistic? Sure, ok, I'll grant that, but at least we need to be after it
and trying to do something about it. This country's "leaders" said, "We do not care if our president lies
under oath, when it was clear he did lie under oath. nothing to see here, move along now . . ." I am not
cool with that.

I hope there are investigations and lots of them.

clinton is dishonest, and lied...but evil? not compared to the norm in dc! he was by far better than bush 1 or 2, better than ray-gun, more effective than carter...

sad to say, he was the best we have had in many years!

if you like I'll pull up some info on Clinton - the dude is bad . . .

Well, since Bush is in power
I'd say we should occupy our time discussing him. Hillary Clinton won New York, but was it only because of Slick Willie? I'm not proud to be a citizen of a country where the president was unfaithful to his wife in the White House, but it doesn't make me beam with pride to know that my country has caused over 1/2 a million deaths in 3 years in Iraq either. I'd say lesser of evils prevails again.

us europeans love him...? i don't love him, i just don't want to kick him in the throat... i'm not arguing with you about how corrupt he was or wasn't... i do not know a great deal about the clinton era, simply because i was younger and less interested in politics... but i'm not trying to big him up or anything...

but you are very right, you should not be comfortable with presidents lying under oath...

I noticed a 5 term elected official lost yesterday,
so that makes me think people weren't voting for the better candidate, they were voting against the war. This republican man was elected for 10 years, and never a problem. Now with the war turning sour, and scandals rocking the GOP consistently has caused Americans to vote against them, instead of for the better man/woman. This is the backlash from unilaterally invading a country, and expecting your people to blindly follow you.

indeed... lesser of two evils... who's the baddest mf'er... the horny guy or the cowboy...?

most europeans do love him, but . . . sorry, it was a knee-jerk response and I should not have assumed
anything

Bush has been such a corrupt, evil *&$# that most of the spot light has been on him, especially the last few
years, but Clinton . . . man . . . do not get me started on that guy.

It's all broken. We need new blood in the politics.

Bush vs Clinton.....
Down here Clinton is fondly remembered.... he was a great PR man for the U.S.....
On the other hand Bush is looked on as an arrogant and incompetent leader who has severely damaged the U.S.' image world-wide.....
Sure Clinton had his defects, but being responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent civilians and thousands of U.S. military personnel was not one of them.

Jeff....
It just seems to keep getting better and better.....
and now that the madman Rumsfeld has finally been knee-capped hopefully the sights can be set on an even bigger target.... Cheney.
But before the main course, I think the Dems are looking at entree.....
and I cant think of a better starter than someone who almost rivals Rumsfeld for his unbelievable arrogance...... John Bolton....

I'm not sure you can get rid of Cheney. He is an elected official. Sure, Bush could change the locks on the White House, but I think you have to impeach Cheney to get rid of him.

i think if you hung garlic and mirrors all around the whitehouse, it would keep him away...

From Cheney's perspective, does sacrificing Rumsfeld count as another deferrment??

lol!
I don't know, but I don't want to hear him crying when Americans do the same thing. Same goes with Bush.
