The French ConnectionAny of you speak French ? Or only 'un petit peu' ? Or interested in French culture ? Or would like to know how to translate a word into French ? Like to hear from you. I do not wish to start a separate, isolated group, so I think the general exchange should remain in English, so everybody can participate, and maybe learn something about French culture, 'the richest in the world'. Hey, that's a good starting point. Is French culture the richest ? |

One type of franglais : shiakI am myself half Acadian, but my mother came from a part of New Brunswick where shiak was not widely used. And it is from my mother I learned the importance of speaking English in our little French island of Quebec in the big sea of North American English. (If you pick up a map of North America, the province of Quebec is really quite big. But in political importance, it is a small island.) |
