I thought it was representative of thinking that one is the only person in the world to feel a certain way and no one else could possibly fathom the depth and dimensions of your emotion. Hence the domain of the self indulgent...and teens. Oh, and it also could be an acronym for a sore neck caused by continually flicking darkened hair out of ones eyes.

Someone told me that an emo is a term used to describe a punk rocker or goth style person who is highly emotional, neurotic, and complicated, they are said to have erratic behavior that is self destructive and destructive to the community in which they live. They vandalize property, start fights, hurt themselves and others. Why is it that people act in this way and who would be an example in history that resembled this behavior, mainly a person of achievement.
