Piano concerto no 26
The 'Coronation' concerto. I recommend the version by Murray Perahia. The syncopation just before the piano entry in the first movement is one of these magic moments only music can offer. It seems this concerto was the only one by Mozart that remained very popular throughout the 19th century. Of course, now, almost all his 27 concertos are played and enjoyed often. Rilke, you stole my first choice, Don Giovanni, but it's OK. Every number in this opera is a pure delight; it becomes troublesome when you realize the next number will be just as great as the preceding one. Not one moment to relax and think of something else.

Flute concerto number 2 in D major
A really beautiful work ! It was an adaptation from the oboe concerto. Mozart was never a fan of the flute; ironically this is a masterpiece. Composed in 1778.
