We 'n de ya ho (Cherokee Morning Song)
I am part Cherokee. It is an ancient tradition for the women to gather in a circle at sunrise and sing we 'n de ya ho, which is the Cherokee Morning Song.

www.youtube.com

It translates to:
"I am of the Great Spirit, it is so,
I am of the Great Spirit, it is so,
It is so, it is so, it is so"

I still sing it every morning, by myself, facing east, and watch the sunrise.

I'm part Cherokee also.

My favorite native American quote:

"When the last tree has been cut down, the last fish caught, the last river poisoned, only then will we realize that one cannot eat money."

-Attributed to the Osage
