The more he saw, the less he spoke. The less he spoke, the more he heard. Why can't we be like that old bird? [... this framed poem was given to my grandmother in the 1890s upon the early death of her own parents ... so it's much older than that. The poem was written in carefully hand-drawn calligraphy with some nice original art around the edges. The glass was cracked which I replaced ... repaired the frame a bit, and it still hangs in my home to this day ... yellowing; but, the message endures.] |
