Hans Larrson (1862-1944)
A Swedish Philosopher based in the University of Lund. In his book ’Poesiens Logik ’ he broke the grip of ultra conservatism and moral subjectivism which was under the thumb of the Uppsala School inspired by Jacob Boström.
Until his time the Uppsala Philosopher Boström had argued that true reality was identical with God and his ideas. Here there was no concession to external reality material things did not exist.
Larsson argued forcefully and victoriously for objectivity of values also showing that logic and poetic intuition are compatible.
Since his day Swedish Philosophy has become more thorough going analytic in its approach.
Swedish Philosophy struggles hard for International recognition but in my view only excel in logic and Theory of action.
