The Public Face vs. the Private Face
Am I the only one who acts one way in public, only to go home and turn into a completely different person?

One comment I get frequently is that I look too serious and sad, yet when I am at home I erupt into laughter at the drop of a hat, I sing at the top of my lungs to entertain my kids, I break dance on my kitchen floor....

If my instructors and classmates ever saw me as I am around friends and family they might say, "What happened to that ultra professional, aloof, and reserved young woman?"

How are you different when you are alone or just around family?
Why do some of us seem to stay the same all the time, and others (like me) have a mask to show the world?

The Public face vs the private face
I think i am very similar to you. i suppose i present myself according to the situation, at work being professional, downright silly and very spontaneous with friends and totally uninhibited with family and my two boys.
But within the family that is with my brothers and sisters i think i am different people with different ones according to what they expect of me. My eldest sister is very conservative and seroius so i tend to be so in her company whereas the sister who is closer to me in age i tend to very relaxed and silly with her

so i think i change depending on what is expected of me and what the situation asks for

Changes
Changes is part of our lives. We are not the same person on certain situations.
Montaigne on his essays talk about our different behaviours.
