Jesus : His missing years.
The Bible does not say anything about Jesus missing years. From the age of 12 to 30, it has been a mystery. A Priest would not answer to that question or a person of Faith. Many Scholars has said that Jesus travelled arond The Asia Minor terrain, including Egypt and China. Jesus was not aware of his divinity and his life mission. The journey of these missing years was neccesary for him to gain and master his divine powers.

What do you think?

Jesus .. AWOL .. ?
He was visiting his home planet?
He was doing capentry?
He was hiding from the media coverage following his mothers immaculate conception?
He played left back for Jerusalem United - most football careers end at around 30 years old?

As he was raised by a wealthy family (carpenty was a good business to be in, and someone had to fund his escapades) it is more than likely he was gaining a paid-for education somewhere?

His education was evident and his wealthy upbringing can be seen when he created wine, it wasn't any old "plonk", but the best - so he had to have known what the best should taste like.

If he traveled he either earnt money as he went or he began with funds.

One thing I am curious about is that so very few people ask this question of someone they put so much trust in.

My two penneth,

Jenny

The Bible
Why does the Bible does not mention anything about Jesus lost years?

Possibilities
I don't know the answer to your question, Rilke, but we can posit a couple of theories:

1. While many believe that the Bible is divinely inspired, any credible theologian will concede that it is, in the end, the product of man. The books selected to be in the Bible, its innumerable translations, and the purposes for which the book has been used, are all the result of human action and intervention and, therefore, subject to human fallacy. Perhaps those who selected the books contained in the Bible did not feel that the lost years of Jesus should be included in the text. This assumes that they were chronicled, which leads us to...

2. Perhaps no one knew definitively what Christ was doing during the lost years. Methods of communication were certainly less reliable and prolific than today. The inluence of Christ was relatively minor during his lifetime (I know that sounds blasphemous, but its true). It was only after His death that Christianity began to flourish. So the possibility exists that there is no mention of Christ's lost years in the Bible because there was very little reliable documentation of it.

Again, these are just guesses at best. But perhaps they point in the right direction.

good theories
Your points are very strong and logical too.
Another opinion I was told is that Jesus never moved from his parents's home, and heped his parents by doing the work as a Carpenter. In his teenage' years, perhaps teaching some philosophies to the new generation of his time.

Again too many possibilities>

The Gospels
The Gospels teaches that Jesus stayed in Israel. Read Matthew and Luke gospels!

Jesus
Some even say He was in England in his early years.
He is suposed to have been to so many places,I have no idea how He got the time for it
The purpose with the bible is to show the way to salvation.
Not a historybook on what happend to Jesus before He started His work.

Another question is what did He do during the 40days He spent here after the ressurection?
If we collect everything He said personally in the gospels,we can read it whithin an hour.
Here he was for 40 days teaching and no one ever ask the question:What did he say?

India
Another theory is that Jesus did not die in the cross, and he lived a very long time in India, married and with children. His Indian name was ISSA.

India
Yes,but that is hard for a christian to believe, since that would make him more Jesus than Christ.Point is .If he didnt die, then he was just another man.and no saviour.
Having children leads to other ideas.following that trace would take to much time from chessplaying

The only theory I have come across is that he spent time in India etc. This would make sense because the new testament is a fusion of Judaism and what you could term 'eastern philosophies'.

However, i'm not sure whether I believe that he even existed. There is evidence that an awful lot of these saviour stories are related to astrological symbolism. For example; December the 25th is the day the sun starts to rise in the sky, after being at its lowest point on December the 22nd (the birth of the sun). Easter, the time of the resurrection relates to spring, a time when flowers and nature (life) are reborn, after three months of inactivity. The twelve disciples could be interpreted as the twelve signs of the zodiac. There is also something about how the three wise men are actually three stars, that literally follow the star of the east in the night sky and are aligned perfectly with the sun on Christmas day, plus more.

The strangest thing of all though is that these stories are not exclusive to Christianity. Virgin births, crucifixion, resurrection, twelve disciples, a young saviour becoming a baptized preacher later in life are prevalent in many ancient religions. This seems to go back to ancient Egypt, and the birth of sun gods such as Horus. They shared characteristics that we see in Christ such as his date of birth and his role as a prophet. His resurrection and his betrayal by a Judas equivalent and so on.

Who was Jesus and why had he gone missing?
A boy is watching television and hears the name Jesus Christ. Wondering who Jesus Christ is, he asks his mother. She tells him that she is busy, and to ask his father. His father is also busy so he asks his brother. His brother kicks him out of the room because he doesn't have time to answer his stupid questions, so he goes downtown and sees a bum in an alley.

He asks the bum, "Who's Jesus Christ?"

The bum replies, "Well, I am."

The boy, not believing the bum, asks for proof. So the bum takes the boy into the bar down the street and takes him inside. They walk up to the bar and the bartender exclaims, "Jesus Christ, are you in here again?"

Jesus his missing years.
Jesus probably went missing because He was black.
He was looking for a job.
Doubt he was black?
Here are the
three Proofs That Jesus Was Black.

1 - He called everybody brother

2 - He held no permanent address

3 - Nobody would hire him!

Jesus and Buddhism
Buddhism was a great influence in Jesus's life and teachings according to Gruben and Kersten. They assert that Jesus taught Buddhist to his disciples.

The missing years
The only thing we have is when he is 12 showing off in the temple. Then he disappeared again.
If he was somewhere around Jerusalem ,why is there nothing said about him?
After all he is the reason King Herrod killed every male child up to two years age.
At least all he could get hold of.
Sorely people must have said "there he is" or something.
Perhaps we should take a vote on it
