I think many of the more recent ones are too showbiz and lack the soul/soulless concept of the song. And I'm sure Brecht would have been turning in his grave had he heard the 'Ronald McDonald' version. It was in a Pub, that I frequently go, that I heard a band playing this instrumental song. After that delightful experience I requested the WS and Al Johnson's "Mami" and "April Showers".
