Opening preparation
Hi guys, its been a long time since I've been active on this forum. I'm playing in a very strong tournament next week or so. I was wondering what is the best opening preparation I could give myself in that amount of time?

If you guys are wondering what tournament it is. Please visit www.doeberlcup.com.au

If anyone is playing in it please do tell me by privately messaging me.

Prepare the openings you know yourself, just play over a few variations with an outcome with which you feel familiar and comfortable with...

If you know who you are playing, you can review a few of their games, but I guess you won't get that opportunity.

Also, when you are 'out of book knowledge' in a game you are playing there in the tournament, take a bit extra time, probably your opponent has messed up (or you), and there might be some kind of opportunity...

I just visited website of this tournament.
Noticed that Puchen Wang is playing too.
He is New Zealand's best player at the moment, isn't it?
Its good to have him here on GK too, his username is 474742

Former GameKnot player masterakobian played too and won the tournament with 7.5/9.

It seems bunta scored a comfortable 6.0/7 too.

hey
yeah it was a really nice tournament, change of venues this year and great amount of sponsership and strong opposition. Arguably the best doeberl cup its ever been in the 46 years since the start. I recommend to all to play one time and visit australia for a great holiday and experience.
