blake78613 23-Dec-08, 10:57	According to Hans Berliner, the only correct opening is the exchange variation of the QGD so 1 d4 d5 2. c4 e6 would be the best opening moves.
kingdawar 25-Dec-08, 11:43	Openings are pretty subjective. As long as you don't try anything crazy and follow some paved path that leads to a position you can "do" something with, you're playing the right opening.
fatcat2 17-Apr-09, 11:22	If there was a "best opening" as such, everyone would play it! There is no opening that can be generally described as "best". Just pick an opening that falls into your style and that you enjoy playing, and it is the "best" for you!
