sonata296 25-Dec-09, 14:18	Endgames I started this thread for endgames. I have seen players struggling with endgames including myself. I'd love to invite some high-rated players to show some examples of tough endgames and maybe teaching some lower-rated players how to play out an endgame. I think it would help a lot of players, because I have learned that endgames are very difficult.
easy19 25-Dec-09, 14:39	Counting Squares A good way to learn how to play end games specially with king pawn endings is counting the squares.. If i move this how many squares it takes for the enemy pieces to get to Square X and how many moves it takes for my pieces to get to point X the highest number looses the race. i use it all the time and once you get used to the method you can extrapolate other and more complicated move sequences just by counting.
easy19 25-Dec-09, 14:47	This is a endgame me against the nr 1 player on GK Cyrano as white i have the 2 minor pieces but black has a rook and more pawns.. So how would you play it if you where black..? (more later )
andywm 25-Dec-09, 15:19	end game My black move would be to go after the a2 pawn with my R and then try to capture his Kn depending on his next set of moves. I think white has the advantage. Black will loose a p out of this as well with white's Kn.
