Queen must move
or else we get forked by his Kn and good-bye Q or R; this was B's plan for moving his p, so....the only move I see is sliding the Q over to b7
Queen-rook fork
31.Qc7 offering the exchange. 31...Qd3 31.Qb7 no exchange. 31...c4
Is 31. Rc7 worth a look?
Putting pressure on his c pawn, while maintaining pressure on his f pawn. I think the response would be 31... Rc8, where we can exchange rooks. Not sure it's any better but is that an option worth consideration?
Yes, worth a look
gets very complicated for me as to what line each side plays after that..suggestions?
Queen-rook fork
31.Rc7 I still see black playing 31...Qd3 32.Rc1 Qf3
I see
a different choice from each of you (31. Qb7, 31. Qc7 and 31. Rc7). I will wait just a little longer for further discussion.

Doesn't seem like anything else would be sensible.

Qc7
Seems forced in order to avoid losing a piece. Correct me if I am wrong!
Sacrifice in order
don't see too much else and thought we would be exchanging Q's at some point. We'll get the p back but exchange the Q's and as I mentioned before, this should be a draw. Black has a lot of answers and is a good player. We shouldn't mess up either since we have so many eyes looking at the board pieces.
So,
I will post 33. Qc7

Re1
34. Re1 seems interesting, but we have to watch out for Nf3.

Resign?
The game is pretty much over after black pays ... Rb1, for example 33.Re1 Rb1 34.Qxe5 (or Rxe5) 35.Qf1+ 36.Rxf1 Rxf1 mate. Or 34.Qa7/Qc5 (covering g1) Rxe1 35.Nxe1 Qe4+ followed by ... Rd8 and the weak back rank dooms white. 33.Kg1 isn't much better after 33 ... Rb1 34.Rxb1 (forced) Qxb1+ 35.Kf2 Ng4+ (36.Kf3 Qd1, or 36.Ke2 Qxa2+) and white's busted. It looks like 33.Rg1 is forced, but then 33 ... Nf3 threatening 34 ... Rb1 and it looks like black wins the exchange. Anybody see a swindle?
No resigning
well, either R e1 or g1 will work...a long way from resigning!

Umm ...
Re1 loses immediately to ... Rb1. Rg1 is the best try in that we don't get checkmated right away, but we lose the exchange after black plays Nf3.
Good game gone bad!
34.Rg1 is no better than 34.Re1 in this position. After 34. Rg1 Nf3 35.Re3 Rb1 36.Rxf3 Rxg1 37.Kxg1 Qxf3 down the exchange. After 34. Re1 Rb1 35.Qa7 Rxe1 36.Nxe1 Qe2 37.Rxe5 Qxe5 38.Qf2 same results. I would resign this game.
Not all that bad
I think either move is ok considering our situation but g1 prob a bit better
Rg1
I'll switch to Rg1 then. We might sack the rook later to get counterplay.
