tennesseehiker 15-Jun-11, 17:39	Proposed Changes in Tourney Ranges At the suggestion of many members, Tournament VIII's tourney ranges were just 200 points apart rather than 400 with the exception of the Masters Tourney, the range of which was 2200 to 2500. However, as a result of the changes, only 3 (Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, and Open) out of 8 possible tourneys had enough participants to make. I propose to have a 300 point range in Tournament IX, which is scheduled to commence in January 2012 as follows: Starter Tourney 800 to 1100 Minor Tourney 1100 to 1400 Intermediate Tourney 1400 to 1700 Major Tourney 1700 to 2000 Masters Tourney 2000 to 2500 Open Tourney any range Any throughs or suggestions on this proposal would be greatly appreciated. charleshiggie 15-Jun-11, 22:08	I have already started an over 1800 tournament I have already started an over 1800 tournament, which combined the proposed 1800-2000, 2000-2200 and 2200-2500 tournaments.

charleshiggie 15-Jun-11, 23:14	Another way of doing it Another way of doing it would be to ask for all players interested in playing in such tournaments, and then divide them up into sections, rather than plan sections and then, if necessary, split up sections and/or merge others because of numbers....
