 Four CornersTwo: However I find this respect conflicted with some supposed adults' inability to accept frank discussion that may, shock horror, be converse to one's own firmly held ideas. The "oh well we've been a captain for a while and you haven't so shaddup" reply that some of you are using as a recourse to an inability to counter my logic is just plain saddening. What, do humans only actually arrive on this earth when they become team captains? I mean let's break it down to brass tacks, all I've really said, from the get go, is that I don't think time outs are important as the majority of captains on GK make them out to be. Galileo said he didn't think the earth was actually as important as the Roman Catholic Church thought it was. Yet Galileo's treatment by the Church has been the equivalent of the Comfy Chair compared to what some of you lot have delivered my way. Are some of you THAT INSECURE you need to react so vehemently to a contrary opinion? Shame on those that are. Three: I don't like flame wars or unending discussions where any semblance of constructive discussion has long flown the coop and all that remains is unbridled squabbling. SO.....Four. An amnesty. I'm opening this thread so all that wish to get their last pot shots in (whilst adhering to the Rules of Conduct of course) on the subject of timeouts, they being a long time captain compared to me, any notions that I've been a disrespectful young padawan, or any other posts of a general "let's get that tipsy" nature, can do so. Take the gloves off if you wish (whilst adhering, as always, to the Rules of Conduct) and lay in the boots. (Wait how does that work?) I shall NOT reply to anything said here, and, for the record, I've said my last in the Timeouts thread. Of COURSE I'm going to read everything said here, be little point starting this thread otherwise, but I'm a big boy and I can take it. Actually, really, that Rules of Conduct thing was just to cover my bum and keep this in the spirit of free discussion, you want to hit below the belt, go ahead, no skin off my nose. (Hmm those metaphors really are mixing up.) Oh. And if anyone can bring that Old Gus fella back it'd be much appreciated. He seems a decent fellow. And I guess, even though he's a bloody West Australian, and bringing insult to the good name of Metallica, if anyone can bring SBT back, that'd be bonny. Well, there you go. Fire at will. John. |

Ur a uni student, everything to u is a debate. I guess u know everything honestly mate i really just don't wanna bar of ya , & seeing as thou Ur a big boy and u can take it, here's sum Aussie slang for ya ... I agree.. If you are so concerned about the size of other teams..then work on your own and stop looking in every ones backyard. Good house keeping comes from with in..so instead of putting your energy into the rest of us..get on with your own team.. And yes..i have a small team..NOT!! And to make it worse i am in Melbourne..and i now realise why people from other states have there view on us which isn't good.Please just play chess and leave the rest of us alone. |
