TIME TO SHAKE UP THE MODERATOR JOB
We need to get more interest in the club. I am going to be removing moderators and accepting new moderators. The job of the moderator is simple.

Start new threads and reply to recent ones!

Of course anyone can start a thread, But moderators should be more active.

The only other task is to accept invites, from CAPTAINS only.

How about it. Who wants to be a moderator.

PLEASE ANSWER THIS MESSAGE IF YOU WANT TO BE A MODERATOR!

If you were removed as a moderator please do not be insulted. If you want to continue as one just answer this message.

If you don't want to be a moderator but have a great idea, answer this message.

HELP WANTED! YOUR HELP! PLEASE.

I thought there were some decent ideas on the thread titled "we gotta get this party started" gameknot.com . You may want to take a look at it, if you haven't already.

thanks
I guess joking pays off. I was just trying to be funny and I'm a moderator now. Well I promise to moderately moderate my moderation, hence allowing other moderators to efficiently moderate when moderation is required. So I recently got sirius in my truck. I'm listening ,skimming the channels and stumbled on channel 103...just then my fiance gets into the truck and she's like what the heck are you listening to? Needless to say I got reprimanded and I was totally innocent I had no idea it was even on. Now I'm a little.more careful and prepared to switch channels lol. Have a great week people. Patrick

i was a mailman for 20 years
Just a few things about me. I'm 53 ..but retired already. I was married for 24 years. She unfortunately passed. We had 2 kids, there in there 20's.. I chose to give my life and heart another chance ,I'm living with my fiance now..I just got a new town and country . I was the backup drummer ..ringo in Beatlemania. I'm just enjoying life now, babysitting a lot. .My fiance had a singing recording contract.she's probably better than many on the voice or americas got talent. ...Hey..everyone deserves a second chance in life .but to have a second chance you have to be willing to take risk.. I love chess. Even though I'm not the best . I win sometimes..that's about it guys .ok good luck everybody....Patrick

Well, greetings patrick. Please don't be alarmed at any of my posts. Sometimes, I just try to lighten things up a little in the serious world of Chess with my little insights and quips. Good luck in your new position.---penndan

New Moderator
Welcome to Charleshiggie, our newest moderator. We have lots of great captains and co-captains on gameknot, but I think most of us would agree that he is an exemplary captain.

Most of all I want this forum to be made up of team leaders who show respect even when they disagree. As stated in the club description this is a forum to exchange ideas and promote team community. That cannot be done when ideas and opinions are attacked.

I think our two moderators, chilliman and charleshiggie are perfect for this job.

welcome to the moderator role Charles!

the pay is lousy, the hours are terrible, some of the conditions leave a bit to be desired, and you will find yourself on the receiving end of some interesting pm's from time to time - but other than that it's a very enjoyable role and I'm sure you're up to the task!

Our final Moderator
Cheeky-Knight has agreed to be a moderator! Another fabulous, well-respected, team captain. She is also one of the first members of club captain when I created it in 2008. Another welcome addition!

Thanks guys. Also, I hear your complaint about the salary, so officially today I am doubling your pay. Yeah!

So lets get this club rocking.
