Following 21.gxf3 g2 22.fxg4 gxh1=Q 23.Rxh1 hxg4, we net a pawn and a rook for a pawn and a bishop which puts us at +2 if my simple maths doesn't escape me when I'm packing for a trip   Besides, O-O or O-O-O would lose us our queen in exchange for a rook and the opponent would be able to take the pawn on g2 before we promoted anyway.

7split10 28-Aug-09, 12:45	Move 25 Well, from my analysis, I don't know if it really matters TOO much whether we go Qg7 or Qh4. If we move Qh4, we'll likely end up at Qg7 at some point after he moves our queen around with his rook and bishop and such. If we go to Qg7 now, he'll push his h-pawn and drive us to g6 in which case he'll likely attack our queen again with his knight via the f4 square. I'll give you guys my analysis of Qh4... 25. Rf1 Qh4 26. Rh1 Qf6 27. Rf1 Qh4 28. Rh1 Qf2 29. Be3 Qf6 30. Rf1 Qg7 (as you see we end up at g7 anyways, but his bishop was moved). 31. h6 Qg6 32. either Kf4 or c4 That's just my own personal analysis of what I think would happen and by no means should it be set in stone. However, as you can see, it's not going to make a whole lot of difference right now whether we go Qh4 or Qg7. If I had to vote, I would go Qg7 right now to keep his bishop in a less centralized location on the board on the d2 square instead of the e3 square. l'm awaiting the expert analysis of our 2200 rating player on why Qh4 trumps Qg7... I'll see if I can retort =)
