bigpeta 27-Apr-12, 08:24	just to show what can be acheived by sharing. new member hogfysshe (todd) annotated this game that we played. It was then commented on by other 2000+ players. I post a link to the game here so that you can see what can be gained if you take the trouble to annotate a game and post it. For those who find this task beyond them i am preparing instructions step by step how to do it. hogfysshe 27-Apr-12, 19:17	Chess authors and bloggers etc say that analyzing your own games is an important way to improve. Receiving feedback on an annotation is analysis plus plus. Commenters see things that a person analyzing their own games will miss. One of my favorite moves by Pete in the game above is 33. ...f4. The commenters point out that I sealed my fate back at 26. But I still like the way the black f-pawn acted independently from the two nearby pawns to close things out. game oh, and hello group.
hogfysshe 27-Apr-12, 19:34	that is not to say... ...that analyzing your own games isn't also very useful. I've reviewed some of my losses and this has helped me avoid repeating the same mistakes. And analyzing wins has helped reinforce good ideas. I've also made annotations out of sequences discussed in books to help me understand those games or examples better.
