Its a great loss for the world of chess, if I could control the gameknot site, i'll closed for 1 hour or 1 day even, in sign of mourning.

as an aside what would be a good net resource to play over some of his games?

I usually use the databases of either:

chessgames.com
Which is nice in that it has a number for each game and is easy to hyperlink to from outside, if you are posting to forums here or such, but for some reason I cannot get my "COPY" mode to work there for copying of game moves to paste, etc. It will also let you search by single player name + opening desired.
OR-
chesslab.com (lab not labs, or it goes to a different site)
This one does not have numbered games and so I've found it hard or not possible to hyperlink into the site direct to a certain game. But it will do "COPY" of the moves, so easier to bring to here for Annotation Game etc.

However, there is also an official Bobby Fischer website as well. I have seen it, but do not recall the actual name/URL. Can someone tell us that? Thanks if so.

I found a link to an 'only site with the approval of RJF' url ... which right off warns 'not to be deceived!' by four other sites they claim to be impostors. (Poor guy, some are still trying to use him even now. The Jimi Hendrix of chess I guess)
Anyway, here is the link for the one that claims it is the real one. At least if it is not, it shows 4 others to try! Sorry I cannot recall who might be Real or not.
It says it has a long and a short address. So here's both.

fischer.jp
or

can anyone help me understand this:

www.chessgames.com

Move 17 Fischers black bishop is exposed

Move 18 he moves his knight and opponent Harris doesnt take said bishop.

BTW Craig thanks for the pointer to this resource......FANTASTIC!

If 18...Nxf4 then Fischer plays 19 Rxd7 which leaves his rook in a powerful position on the 7th rank

I just learned
on a yahoo chat room.

That the Jews killed Fischer. To be specific, it was the Rothschilds.

Bobby Fischer's father and mother were Jewish.
